Cheating During the Rabbit Apogee

A lot of people on the left will try to argue against r/K. The problem they have is that r/K predicts so much behavior which exists outside of politics, but which will accompany it nonetheless. Case in point – sexual behavior. There is no reason to link sexual mores with aggression/pacifism, spending policies, in-grouping, or rearing behaviors – unless they are all part of a reproductive strategy.

In the fifties, Democrats like John F Kennedy made Establishment cuckservatives today look liberal. At the same time, the idea of society openly embracing cheating within a married relationship would have been ridiculous. Today, as the rabbitizing of society marches ever leftward, media openly discusses the new marriage reality among rabbits in ways that would never have happened in the fifties:

Thrashing out the details of their new marriage contract with online relationship coach Suzie Johnson, the wealthy couple who have been wed for 12 years leave their hour long Skype session feeling satisfied.

The husband agrees they can have a fifth child — while the wife consents to an infidelity clause allowing him to cheat with other women on a strictly annual basis.

“They agreed to a weekend amnesty, where the guy can do what he wants for just one weekend a year,” recalls Johnson, who runs the Dallas, Texas-based goasksuzie.com. “In return, she gets the bigger family she craved.”

According to Johnson, such arrangements are increasingly common in her practice as a growing number of women agree to “widen their monogamy boundaries” and embrace a marriage of convenience, where it’s just the husband who strays rather than an open marriage where both sides cheat.

Rabbits (the animals) have no concept of sexual mores, because it is not in their DNA. You can’t teach a rabbit sexual mores. It has no idea why all the wolves in a pack don’t have one big orgy, and abandon their pups when they are a few weeks old. Once nature imbues that reproductive strategy, game over. The die is cast. The very idea of sexual mores evaporates, and you are left with an animal which cannot understand why everyone else is not just like them.

Give humans war and shortage for a decade or so, and all the newspapers will eschew any talk of any sexual activity outside of monogamous marriage for the purpose of raising children. Give the same population free resources for a few decades, and the newspapers will all openly discuss open marriages, polygamy, contractual cheating, and single motherhood as if it is just another choice. It will happen like night follows day.

People will always try to argue that the idea of politics as a reproductive strategy is wrong. The idea is just too painful for leftists, who have to believe their r-selected psychology is the sole bastion of logic, reason, and ultimate truth. But given the totality of the evidence, and how it both predicts and explains every facet of these collapses we periodically see, I believe that in the future those who questioned this concept will see their judgment questioned on every other area they ventured an opinion on. It will be seen as that obvious in retrospect.

In-grouping, competitiveness, aggression, tolerance for disparate outcomes, sexual mores, marriage/monogamy, rearing imperatives, loyalty, sexual dimorphism, gender roles – it all travels together, and it all follows economic conditions and resource availability. As times goes on the picture only becomes clearer and more resolved. This is the biggest idea in the history of political science, just waiting to explode.

It is just a matter of time before all of politics is seen as r/K Selection Theory. The question is, does it break out pre-Apocalypse and blunt the carnage wrought, or does this wisdom spread among the survivors, after seeing K-selection in its purest form, and recognizing the stark differences from the apogee of r.

A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.

Sexual promiscuity (including pre-marriage and both sexes) logically leads to dissatisfaction within marriage. For men, all it takes is to couple with some woman whose goal is to “put her face his every subsequent orgasm” by faking a full-out porn-star encounter (anecdotal evidence confirms this happens) and for women it’s well known that more partners means less happiness.

For this reason, it is obvious that r-selected societies are filled with intensely unhappy people.

Hi,
I’ve been following your blog for some time now, and have read your books too.
All very enlightening stuff. I was wondering if any of your posts cover situations in which you have confronted liberals with r/K Selection Theory.

I am curious to know how you would broach this topic with them, which areas you would cover, and how you would head off their counter arguments, in order to drive the point home (and hopefuly make them go into meltdown, hehe!).

Thanks for covering such topics, I always look forward to new posts – it doesn’t make liberals any less infuriating to be around, but at least now I understand why they are this way!

Roll on the Apocalypse!

Cheers,
John

“In-grouping, competitiveness, aggression, tolerance for disparate outcomes, sexual mores, marriage/monogamy, rearing imperatives, loyalty, sexual dimorphism, gender roles – it all travels together, and it all follows economic conditions and resource availability.”

Being that managerial capitalism in its current neoliberal incarnation undermines most on the above list (except for a perverted form of “competition”) wouldn’t it be true that the dominant paradigm of modern economics leads inherently to r-selection? Capitalism creates a cornucopia of cheap, low quality abundance via consumerism; all the while degrading the population and turning them into dependent, infantile slaves.
