David Limbaugh Says a Sleeping Giant is Awakening

David Limbaugh says,

Trump is resonating because, as a presidential candidate, he is giving public voice to many of the concerns that have Americans beside themselves…

Republicans often talk a good game — good enough, in fact, to win the congressional elections in a landslide in 2010 and 2014 — but they routinely fail to deliver.

They whine that even with a majority in both houses, they can’t do anything to stop Obama and that if they were to try anything too bold, they’d be viewed as extreme and lose the next election.

Neither of those excuses is entirely true, and the increasingly frustrated not-much-longer-silent majority is done with their squishiness. Their job is not to get along with Obama. It is not to pass bipartisan legislation that always plays into Obama’s hands…

No matter how much it may appear otherwise to us now, this country is not going under without a fight, and the silent majority is not going to tolerate cowardice from Republicans much longer. That Trump is doing so well is not an indication that there are a bunch of crazies on the right. It’s proof that people are at their wits’ end — and they’re not going to take it anymore.

The biggest effect Trump is having is he’s showing other Republican candidates that being nice and non-confrontational is a loser’s strategy. Being nice and non-co0nfrontational is amygdala deadening, so clearly Trump is exactly what we need, as a nation.

Trump is now demonstrating that talking tough, being honestly outraged at liberal stupidity, and insulting the left is how you win. As he demonstrates the confrontational strategy and other confrontational Americans join him, he lights up the nation’s dozing amygdalae, and everyone begins to feel comfortable with confrontation.

The next step is more candidates testing out their confrontational delivery, and seeing if it will help them win their races. Given a politician will literally say anything to get elected, it shouldn’t be too hard for a few to tell the truth to further their quest for power – especially if they think a raucous army will spontaneously assemble behind them.

Along those lines, Ted Cruz is on the attack now too, and finding that doing aggressive things that are never done, like call the Senate Majority Leader a liar on the Senate floor, gets him press.

In a stunning attack on a leader of his own party, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of lying to him and said he couldn’t be trusted. Cruz, a Texan who is running for president but ranks low in early polling, delivered the broadside in a speech on the Senate floor, an extraordinary departure from the norms of Senate behavior that demand courtesy and respect. At issue are assurances Cruz claimed McConnell, R-Ky., had given that there was no deal to allow a vote to renew the federal Export-Import Bank – a little-known federal agency that has become a rallying cry for conservatives. Cruz rose to deliver his remarks moments after McConnell had lined up a vote on the Export-Import Bank for coming days.

Again, confrontational dialog is rising due to the very earliest stages of resource restriction. That will increase now, as we go forward.

It’s a bad time to be a rabbit.
