Lieutenant Lorance was convicted of murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison for ordering his men engage three military aged males riding a motorcycle speeding towards his patrol in Kandahar, Afghanistan in July of 2012.
Since his court martial, it has been revealed that the two men killed as a result of his orders both were biometrically linked to terrorism and IED attacks that killed U.S. troops.
It is unbelievable anyone even has to ask, but all of our leaders, going back to 1988, have been differing flavors of rabbits. Obama doesn’t even blink at any of this.
This was what soured me on Bush more than anything. He started these wars, and then he left a bunch of Marines and Soldiers hanging in the wind, almost always for having done what had to be done under combat conditions, to assure the survival of their troops. They rose to his call of duty and he just left them hanging.
Now we are letting illegals run free in our country, and freeing the last of the terrorists of Guantanamo, while all of these guys continue to languish.
I would think Trump would be much more amenable to sorting this out once he takes office. The best possible outcome would be for Trump to announce that he changing the nation’s entire direction, and going to pursue a much less belligerent foreign policy. Then he should add that to mark the change in course from all his predecessors, and turn the corner on the new foreign policy, he is pardoning all the imprisoned soldiers and Marines.
