Judge Orders Baby Killed, Rather Than Treated

Kind of unbelievable, unless you recognize leftism is evil – and an r-strategy:

A UK judge has ruled it is in a child’s best interest to “die with dignity” rather than to allow his parents to seek additional medical treatment.

Connie Yates and Chris Gard want to take eight-month-old son Charlie to the United States for treatment of a rare disease. A GoFundMe account has given them enough money to do so. But Charlie needs to remain on life support to make the trip and Justice Francis determined it is in the “best interests of the child” to withdraw his feeding tube and breathing machine.

Charlie has mitochondrial depletion syndrome, which degenerates his muscles. It is extremely rare, with an estimated 20 cases worldwide.

Great Ormond Street Hospital officials, who brought the lawsuit, argued that Charlie’s life support should be cut off because his quality of life was “so poor” and experimental treatments would only “prolong the process of dying.”

The boy’s parents said taking their son to the U.S. would not cause him more pain or suffering, but could give him another chance. In any case, their lawyer said parents’ wishes should be respected.

“We just want to have our chance,” Connie told the BBC. “Even if Charlie doesn’t make it through this, I don’t ever want another mum and their child to go through this.”

Nevertheless, Judge Francis ruled against the parents.

If a baby might be saved, you give it the chance. If you have the most basic rearing urge, you want the baby to live. This judge has no sacrifice they need to make. It won’t cost anyone a penny. The judge only has to say that the parents may try and save their baby.

The left is a different animal. They have different urges, and a wholly different psychology. This makes sense to them. Indeed, the judge probably feels as if he is helping some confused rabbits do the right thing – abandon their intensive rearing of a waste of energy, time, and resources, so they can get back to having sex and minimally rearing other offspring to maximally increase their total offspring output. To the judge, killing this baby makes sense all around. He is in the right, and these parents are wrong. His rabbitty urges tell him so.

To us, this is evil. To the left, it is just how they feel things should be.

Now we just wait until judges legalize pedophilia.

Spread r/K Theory, because the rabbits will legalize pedophilia with time

It is murder plain and simple. Socialized healthcare in full effect. One thing the newspapers aren’t being very clear on is that the “type” of Mitochondrial Depletion Charlie has is very rare. There are many different mutations that cause different subsets of depletions syndromes and even currently unknown genetic mutations that cause many different types of Mitochondrial Depletion Syndromes. There are a lot of medications that can cause mitochondrial depletions.. Our daughter has a MDS so I try to share what I know when I can. Some can be very severe and some with a slower progression. Usual onset in infancy, but can occur at any point in life.

I’m going to say the K-selected choice is for the greater good of the tribe, and a sickly baby is, to put it bluntly, a waste of resources. Thoughtless convenience abortions to avoid the consequences of hedonism are one thing, putting the health of the tribe above the health of the individual is another.
The Spartans would have tossed this child into the Apothetae.

Wow. As jaded and cynical as I am I would never have seen that coming.

Eye for an eye seems apt. The parents should kill the judge.

One day, they’ll use this line of *dignity* to justify slaughtering millions of misguided Christians.
They must be stopped.
