The Obama years see murders increase:
Police are investigating a pair of murders in two Memphis neighborhoods.
These murders mean the city has tied its record of 213 homicides set in 1993.
Tulsa, Louisville, and the never-ending bloodbath in Chicago add to the list.
The unadjusted Misery Index, the homicide rate, the Conservative Policy Mood, and Trump’s election – it all points to a K-shift.
Trump will probably produce a bubble, and facilitate increased safety by supporting law and order. That will tend to drive the population back toward r, and ironically enough, that will erode his margin of reelection in four years. However, if he can provide synthetic K-stimuli to activate liberal amygdalae, and increase the K in the populace, he could keep the population K, and produce economic success and safety at the same time.
But that will only happen if r/K Theory is recognized and used to mold the public policy of the political sphere.
