Migrants are r-strategists – Novelty Seeking

A migrant complains that the food is always the same:

A migrant at the now infamous Lynx House in Wales has complained live on Sky News that the tax payer funded, free food he gets is the same twice a day. He also claims that the accommodation he is given, again at a cost to the British tax payer, is too small, and too dirty.

Again, this is novelty seeking. I have eaten the same food each day for long periods throughout my life. I just get into a groove, the food is easy to prepare, and I get used to eating it. The idea of a different meal each time I eat would actually be bothersome, because you know that every so often one of those different meals would be really unappetizing.

The idea I would get free food, and then complain that each meal isn’t a unique masterpiece, customized to my taste, is ridiculous.

But if you are an r-strategists, you’re naturally low on dopamine, because your receptor genes are designed that way. That means you are always kind of down, kind of depressed, and you live for that little burst of distraction and excitement that novelty provides. This is why you hear migrants complaining that there isn’t a lot to do, there aren’t unique meals, they don’t have TV’s, there is no entertainment, they are bored, and so on. If your dopaminergic system is functional, you can almost stare at a wall and be happy. But if your dopamine system is weakened, and your baseline mood is miserable, then staring at a wall becomes amygdala triggering in itself, and you not only crave distraction – you require it. Distraction becomes as much a human right to you as freedom is to us.

This will not remain static. Eventually, I expect a lot of these depressives will begin self-medicating with distractions, be it gang rapes, muggings, drugs, crime-rings, riots, sexual deviance, or some other activity that is presently verboten. As things come to a head, I expect the asymmetrical civil war which ensues will become a distraction they will need, at which point they will go all in to try and defeat their hosts in bloody conquest. To them the alternative will be sitting around in an alley all day bored, and eating the same free food, and you see how they feel about that.

What I hope more than anything is that Europe can keep those depressive, migrant, novelty-seeking, r-strategist genes from invading their population’s gene pools. Eventually the migrants will have to be expelled. When they are, they need to take all their depressive r-strategist genetic material with them, or this problem may lurk long after they are gone.

“In a world of P.C. obsessed micro aggressioned skim milk, decaff latte’d safe zoned preoffended children. The confusion and the allure of the Alpha male is understandable.”

This is a comment on an article from Sean Trende. This is just one instance of the “alpha male” narrative re-emergeing while the R-to-K transformation slowly occurs. Manly man, those who could survive in a boardroom, the urban jungle and sparsely populated forest — think: Trump — seem to be getting the attention they merit. Did you see, by the way, today’s image of Trump with three, buff football guys behind him? The subliminal impact of that image on the minds of men would either be threatening (r) or worthy of a cheer (K).

As a woman, I’ve wondered what the parallel r-to-K transformation would look like for my sex: strong pioneer women, standing with their rifle over the rattlesnake just killed; wasp-waisted 1950s housewife wearing apron; female soldiers on the frontlines with the men … ???

The strong, K-selected women baffles me. Please describe.

I was thinking about this exact same thing yesterday. I also tend to prefer plain food, except when the point of the food is to enjoy it (in which case I’ll go overboard on flavor).

I want to ask you older people a question. Does food taste worse to you now? Is it just me? Chicken taste gross. I used to love fried chicken. Let’s just say for specificity Kentucky Fried Chicken. It just taste gross now and a lot of prepackaged food has a lot of spices and sugar but taste gross. Am I the only one that thinks this?

The rotisserie chicken you get precooked at say a Winn-Dixe makes me gag. I can’t even eat it.

It’s the same sort of thing as when people go off of sugar. I can’t even drink most liquors now because there’s so much sugar. Your body and taste buds get used to *real* food.
