Scott Adams Says Healthcare Was A Win

An interesting idea:

With the failure of the Ryan healthcare bill, the illusion of Trump-is-Hitler has been fully replaced with Trump-is-incompetent meme. Look for the new meme to dominate the news, probably through the summer. By year end, you will see a second turn, from incompetent to “Competent, but we don’t like it.”

Adams says this will calm the liberal hatred of Trump.

Maybe, but I tend to think that given how amygdala pathways burn in permanently, it would be easier to force liberals to another meme by making the Hitler meme even more powerful, so their angst would actively drive them, rather than be defused. By trying to defuse “Trump is Hitler!” with, “But he isn’t that good at it,” I think you might actually perpetuate the Hitler meme longer than if President Trump had begun to open the leftist internment camps, and begun the construction of the ovens. If the internment camps had opened, overnight you would have had leftists going full on Stockholm, and naming their firstborn Pepe, in a desperate attempt to quell the amygdala angst. In such a case, the force driving them to change would have been powerful.

On another note, healthcare was a good lesson for the Trump administration though. Most of Congress is entirely too sold out to the private interests to produce effective change on issues like healthcare. Their bills will be timid and too prone to benefit special interests at the expense of everyone else.

They will be the opposite of what propelled President Trump to great success thus far. President Trump became President because he represented something different – something uncorrupted by the swamp and unafraid to poke the special interests in the eye for the average man. When an establishment swamp-cuck like Paul Ryan oversees the creation of a bill, President Trump will find himself covered in mud if he gets too close to it. Either Trump should craft the bulk of the legislation in the White House and hand it to Ryan with an ultimatum, or he should sell it as the best Congress can do, and better than nothing, but not necessarily what he wanted.

The truth is, healthcare is lost. There is no way to offer equal healthcare to everyone. So long as that is the goal, costs will be so high the healthy will opt out, and the costs per-remaining-individual will become prohibitive. Like it or not, it is not just economic systems that likely require a periodic Apocalypse after a period of r-selection.

Spread r/K Theory, because until the swamp is drained, the Apocalypse is definitely on

Universal health care requires a heavy federal subsidy to people who either cannot afford insurance or who cannot get it. Extension of Medicaid to that 15% or so of the population lacking health insurance before ACA would have solved the problem. Actually, only about one-third of the 15% were working poor in need of a subsidy. The other two-thirds were young and healthy or well-to-do.

Beyond the subsidy, Congress should preempt State regulation of health insurance, and establish a true national market. Insurers should be allowed to offer a variety of policies. Tort reform is also needed to help reduce costs. All of this has been obvious for decades, but vested interests control the situation.

I think you are absolutely right. Your position is the more courageous one. Leftists are bullies, cowards. They are obsesed with the strongman. backing down never works, compromise never works. They are people who have allowed ther hindbrain to rule over their reasoning, and so like women, they backwards rationalize all their decision making.

The best way to deal with a bully is to punch him in the nose. He’ll find another victim who wont punch back.

I never want to pay for some smokers emphysema or some whores bc pills. Gov needs to get out of healthcare. That being said, I think something else is in play. Why did Obama spy on the Trump transition? I think it was to remove him later down the road. Its why CUCKNEWS gave Ryan so much good press. This move was 4D chess takedown of cucks Ryan/Scalise. The Secret Service bs was probably a threat too- and if things went kinetic, like a putsch then the Marines would be needed to protect him. So the Marines United purge would likely be directed against Trump loyal Quantico dudes. Thats why the establisment has been pushing this so much.

As I explain to friends and aquaintences, ObamaCare was structured to give coverage to the poor by screwing the middle classes. Lower middle class people can no longer afford to go to the doctor even though they technically have “coverage”. Meanwhile they watch their non taxpaying illegal alien neighbors get everything they need.
