The voters overwhelmingly wanted out of the EU:
A grand total of 84.2% of General Election voters stumped for a party that has promised to take Britain out of the European Union.
It’s proof, if proof were needed, that an overwhelming majority of people just want us to get on with Brexit.
There is probably a bipartisan push to destroy governments that occurs at the K-shift. When everyone’s amygdalae are in high gear, everyone is irritated, and rage is the dominant emotion, then the one thing everyone will hate is the government. Filled with those who are trying to please everyone, it is unavoidable that government will leave enough that those on the left and those on the right will find things that irritate them, and they will focus on those things.
The EU might actually save the government of Britain by giving amygdalae something to focus their irritation on. Without the EU, it would be Britain proper being blamed for the migrant disaster, the reckless economics, and the Apocalypse that is coming.
Brussels could actually be part of a smart plan, though it would have been smarter to just reject rabbitry in the first place and forgo the Apocalypse entirely.
Though maybe, given how humans seem unavoidably prone to rabbitize in the face of success, that isn’t a practicable option either. We may just need an Apocalypse now and again.
