Trump Shadowbanned at Twitter

This is unbelievable:

Since the implementation of Twitter’s new algorithmic timeline back in February of this year, conservatives, libertarians and anti-establishment dissidents alike have been waiting for the social media platform to interfere in the current U.S. election cycle. Now it seems that there is clear evidence of Twitter censoring the current Republican front-runner, Donald Trump.

A tweet sent from Trump’s account at 3:04 PM EDT yesterday is not visible from his timeline, even when showing “Tweets and replies.” That message included a video wherein Trump declared that “the establishment and special interests are absolutely killing our country.”At the time of this writing, the tweet is still publicly accessible via a direct link and thus has not been deleted either by Twitter or by someone operating on the Trump account.

Trump now has an opportunity for a ton of free media and the ability to showcase to the party what a fighter he will be. If Twitter can’t contribute unevenly to candidates without violating election law, it should hold that such an affirmative action to constrain Trump’s message, without doing so to other candidates, should be a violation of election law.

By striking out Trump could establish a legal precedent, and make Twitter more hesitant to do this to other voices of the alt-right. In suing Twitter, he could drive free media, and embed within the population the concept that the rich and powerful were using every tool of the establishment to unfairly deprive the people of their right to elect Trump President.

I wonder if this isn’t Twitter trolling for coverage after their stock started tanking yesterday. The Stray Voltage tactic on the corporate level.

It would be hilarious if this was their Waterloo.
