It is tough to say if the story is real, but I have no doubt he has been under surveillance at some point, though by whom exactly I could not say with certainty. That is a larger part of the power game than anybody knows. So if real, this intel was out there. Is it more ridiculous to think this intel was never leveraged, or is it more ridiculous to think a powerful person somewhere knew about this and decided to play by the Marquis of Queensbury rules all of a sudden? Now expand that thinking to assume 90% of Washington is that debauched and corrupted.
