You could not have had this without eight years of Obama. At the end of the Bush years, leftists were acclimatized to discomfort. Had Donald Trump been elected then, leftists would have buckled down, and just grumbled at every turn.
But after eight years of Obama, their amygdalae are no longer capable of dealing with such adversity. They adapted to having a President who accommodated their every neurosis. If it makes you feel any better we probably will go straight from a leftist to Apocalypse. We’ll probably get 8 years of Trump, then hopefully at least 4 of Pence or another Republican. Guys like Trump can hold the system together. Guys like Obama will break it. One more Dem and the system breaks.
