Donald Trump Labeled “Most Successful Climate Protector in the World”

Not surprising if you think about it:

In a bizarre irony, the German daily newspaper Die Welt has proclaimed U.S. President Donald Trump “the most successful climate protector in the world” after a new global climate report revealed that U.S. carbon dioxide emissions dropped dramatically during Trump’s first year in office…

The United States led the small pack of countries that managed to lower greenhouse gas emissions, accompanied by UK, Japan, and Mexico. According to IEA figures, the United States managed to reduce CO2 emissions in 2017 by 0.5 percent, or 25 million tons, to 4810 million tons…

Mr. Wetzel doffed his hat to President Trump, saying that despite being stigmatized as an enemy of the environment, he has shown himself to be quite the contrary. Wetzel contrasted the positive U.S. results with those of China, which signed on to the Paris Climate Accord. While U.S. emissions dropped, China’s grew by nearly a full percentage point in 2017.

Curiously, some of the countries that chastised the United States for dropping out of the Paris Accord performed far worse than the U.S. during 2017, with the European Union (EU) emissions rising by a stunning 46 million tons. Germany itself has not reduced its emissions for nine years in a row.

Whether you call it K-selection, freedom, or competitiveness, there are cognitive rewards imbued into Capitalism revolving around efficiency and simple dedication to purpose, and those will naturally diminish wastefulness and thus total consumption. When you have a system where each individual is tangibly rewarded for finding a better way to utilize resources more efficiently to get things done, the cumulative effects of that system will be massive at the national scale.

An r-strategist environmentalist would produce petroleum products to fuel a massive agricultural system’s hunger for fuel, fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, electricity, and water (as well as the biotechnical research to support the crop protection/nourishment, chemical development/production, and genetic enhancements to make the crops grow), all to allow a small portion of those plants to be harvested by massive fuel-powered machines, and prepped for transport. Then the r-selected environmentalist would fund the transportation of those agricultural products to giant processors, where the small percentage of the relevant biological products could be separated from the majority of the rest of the waste plant matter. Then they would transport that refined biological product to large fermenters, where more energy is utilized to ferment the expensively-separated corn byproducts, and then heat them to distill out the ethanol and run it through an expensive chemical drying process before transporting it again to be used as fuel.

Meanwhile, the Capitalist will let the market determine that simply using the petroleum product itself, straight out of the earth, in the beginning, is more efficient, while the whole wasteful agricultural boondoggle wastes energy and produces needless carbon gasses.

In addition, inherent to the K-selected psychology is a sense that resources are limited, and wastefulness is to be avoided. So rather than import an additional 20 million illegals, each with their own carbon footprint (which is massively enlarged in the US, compared with their carbon footprint in some remote agricultural village in Mexico), K-strategists will seek to deport 20 million illegals, removing their carbon footprints from our nation and diminishing their carbon-footprint size back in their home country.

Of course these are all instincts, so just as Donald Trump never sat down and asked how to diminish our Carbon footprint, and yet it happened anyway, you can’t expect leftists to realize that their instincts are guiding them to do the very same stupid things which are increasing the production of the very greenhouse gasses they claim to fear.

It is an ironic state of affairs, but in the end we are all driven by instincts, designed for the world we are designed for – whether we live in it or not.

Tell everyone about r/K Theory, because leftists are wasteful

So much room for further improvement though.

Although I do see the value in making companies pay for all the toxic waste dumping which they are forced to pay to clean up.
