I’d have thought the same thing myself, six or seven years ago. But remember the TIPS program was going to be one in every 24 people, about 4% of the population, working as informants on everyone else, reporting to handlers, and operating as spies in a Secret Society of spies. And they felt they could keep that secret. And that was just the pilot program – the toe in the water to see how it would go.

All I can say is that as I began to realize something was up, I called an old friend who lived in the neighborhood. He was super-rich, plugged into the community, networked with everyone, and was known for both knowing, and passing around gossip about everything – to the point I was cautious about what I said to him, if I didn’t want everyone to know. He could talk for hours. I figured something this big, he’d have heard of it from somewhere, and would know something, and of course he would be happy to regale me with his knowledge for as long as I would listen. Mind you, I knew him my whole life, he was friends with my parents, and I considered his family close friends. His wife was like a mother to me when I was a kid, and one of the sweetest women I ever knew.

I called, and after perfunctory greetings, I explained what I was seeing, and asked him if he knew anything about it. “No.” [long silence] I said, “tons of people, following me around, trying to be intimidating?” “No.” [Long silence} “It is a massive operation, you haven’t heard anything?” “No.” [Long silence] At that point I had been focused on my own issue so I didn’t notice how he was saying it, but suddenly it hit me – he was afraid. So I said, “OK, I see. Take care,” All he said was “Yeah.” And we hung up. After I hung up things came back to me. His house had burned down mysteriously. At the time I had wondered if organized crime had tried to muscle in on some of his businesses, because when I talked to him about it he seemed weird, and almost afraid. Then his house was rebuilt, and it burned down a second time, to the foundations. Then he went through a strange phase where he had his entire property fenced in with massive chain link, he had a giant gate installed to control access to the property, and he got an attack dog. And then one day I drove through his part of the neighborhood, and later that night he called out of the blue, and started a long conversation, working around until out of the blue he asked if I drove a car like the one I had driven by his property in. After the call, I though he must have seen me drive by, but why he cared, or as watching what cars drove by escaped me. Then I remembered a family member running into his wife in a grocery store, and talking about increasing crime, her eyes going wide, and her saying emphatically, “You have no idea!” before thinking better of it and not going on. But there was something she was about to say, something big, but she stopped.

Ten minutes after we hung up, he calls back, and wants to have a long conversation about nothing in particular, so I extricate myself, and hang up. And I realized, he knew, he panicked when I asked, and after we hung up he called someone who told him to call back and engage me in conversation for some reason.

You are still thinking we are a team, and everyone is on the same footing as Americans, and we all believe the Myth of America we clueless are sold on as children. It isn’t like that. It took me a longtime to realize it, but there is something terrifying out there that normal people will do anything to avoid angering. In short, the US has three types of people. There are the bugs who know they are bugs. We are a minority. There are the bugs in what you can only think of as a Secret Society who think they are the windshields, and they will do anything to maintain the illusion. They are a much larger minority. And there are the clueless, whose lives are probably the most pleasant, though when the culling comes, I expect they will be the first to die, and they live their lives entirely under the control of the second group, whether they know it or not.

Somewhere above all of that are the Architects, who are the only people really in control.

It is weird, I know. America, Constitution, Rah rah Military and Police, their sacrifices can never be dishonored by allowing freedom to fall. People talk. Checks and Balances, Putin-Dictator-Bad, Land of the free, so glad that can’t happen here, Civil liberties organizations are out there fighting 24/7 to protect us, our media wants to expose corruption to get ratings, Magazines try to get readers by competing to inform us best, and on and on.

But however they recruit, they recruit people who they can control completely, and I assume those who get recruited just tell themselves this is the reality and it is better to be the windshield than the bug. Maybe their psych profiles are that good, so the people they get can’t possibly allow themselves to get kicked out, no matter what happens.

I will tell you now, I am pretty good with mechanisms. And you are not entirely wrong – what I see is unsustainable. It has reached a tipping point where it will either go public and be exposed, and be torn down, or it will go public, and take full control openly. Either way, it is coming out.

I write about this here partly to inform you, but also to build credibility for r/K, so I don’t worry so much if people believe me. By laying this out now – something a normal person could not believe possible, I hope I am also establishing that credibility. Because one day this will all come out, and people will see it and think, if I was right here, about something so incredible, maybe I was right about that r/K stuff too.
