I always see lots of r/K related stories I think might interest the readers here, but I only have time to blog about a few, so here are some additional news stories that might be of interest. You can skim the titles and summaries, and click the links if they are of interest.

If you send your child off to college, make sure they know, big brother will be watching and the campus may be spook central.

Bill Kristol and the Weekly Standard seem to have been aware of the plan to link Trump and Russia, and were helping seed the narrative using all of the Steele talking points before it was publicly common knowledge. Kristol’s son in law was paying Fusion GPS throughout 2016. Even today Strzok follows Kristol on twitter. Notice also, who subscribes to the Weekly Standard? I have never known one person. And yet we are to believe they sell enough magazines and advertising to support staff and publication costs? Try setting up a profitable conservative magazine sometime. Then stab the greatest Conservative President in history in the back, and see what would happen to your readership. And yet they carry on, and Bill is putting more weight on every time I see him. Things are not as they seem.

An article which points out that by strengthening the dollar first, Trump made it highly tempting for Chinese investors/lenders to dump renminbi for dollars, weakening China’s currency and adding to the stresses that will ultimately force China to dance to Trump’s tune on the trade war. It is funny how China was probably thinking Trump was just all words in the campaign when he didn’t do anything for a year, not realizing he was quietly setting the stage for total victory once he struck.

And even the fundamentals of the relationship favored Trump, as shown here in soybeans, which is what China would have to hit with tariffs, but which China can’t do without, and which only the US can supply in sufficient numbers.

China is now returning to the table, seeking a trade deal. They will give America what it wants, and be grateful to have brought the issue to a close.
