Former President Donald Trump‘s legal team on Monday night resisted the request set forth by Special Master Judge Raymond Dearie that they detail exactly how documents were declassified, in order to preserve a defense against a “subsequent indictment.” More:

First, this is CNN, so the reporting is almost certainly shit. CNN reporting is the legal equivalent of “wet streets cause rain.” Based on this shit reporting and reading between the lines, this looks like a perfectly normal legal exchange.
Prima facia is the lowest standard of review. The judge has said, prima facia, that a document with classified markings and no declassification markings on it is classified. Prima facia literally means the first look at the face. You look at the documents, they look classified.
That means that the judge needs at least prima facia evidence that they were declassified and not marked. That can be as easy as Trump or someone saying, “POTUS declassed these on X/X/XX” or “This EO ##### says anything the POTUS takes with him is declassed.” People have said that out of court, but the judge is saying that someone needs to say it in court, under oath, either by writing or in person.
Trump’s lawyers appear to be warning, “you are violating our rights if you make us fully prove the declass” because there is a threatened indictment. That doesn’t mean that they are refusing to provide prima facia evidence, but just (rightly) warning the judge that they are going to push back past that.
And that’s a fair claim. The .gov is trying to set them up. They want a blanket “every piece of paper was declassed” claim, so that they can come up with some edge case (like an informant taking a doc from the WH and leaving it a MAL in Trump’s office) and Trump’s lawyers are wisely avoiding that. They are saying, “you show us the document, and we will show you where that document was declassed.”

Tanks are fairly worthless these days if the people you are using them against have any sort of decent anti-tank weapon. You can not make a tank that can’t be killed by a two man portable anti-tank weapon. Israel had some of the best tanks in the world and Hezbollah took them out. They could not defeat them with tanks.
We send tanks over there, the Russians aren’t fools. They blast them with artillery, planes and maybe portable weapons. A huge waste of time and money. Whoever came up with “let’s send them tanks” has been watching too many cowboy movies where the cowboys square off on the main street. Any tank sent over there will likely never see a Russian tank or a Russian.
The Russians, if they are smart, might even let them move these things up close to the line before they blow them to hell. Make them waste tons of resources to move those heavy things around.
Tanks very useful for pacifying, intimidating, and terrorizing unarmed-lightly armed civilian populations. Ukraine is occupied by the International Jews. Israel uses tanks against unarmed Palestinians.

Tanks are a great tool for pacification of lightly or unarmed civilians.

BTW if you cover a tank with lots of gelled gasoline, napalm, it becomes very difficult for them to operate properly. No it won’t stop it but it becomes hard to see.

Special Forces from Israel went into Gaza during the last Lebanon war in APC’s and got their asses shot off. Hit with anti-tank weapons to disable them, then machine-gunned the soldiers attempting to flee. They only tried this once. After that they backed up and used artillery to randomly blast Gaza.
Part of the problem is that the US doesn’t really field tanks as tanks. All of our tanks are designed as tank destroyers, not tanks, and that is how our crews are trained. We treat tanks as purely for taking out other tanks, as an artifact of our cold war doctrine of trying to defend Europe from the Soviets.
Tanks are for supporting infantry. (We picked some of that back up in Iraq in the city fighting, but we still aren’t using them like the rest of the world) They are rolling pillboxes, designed to be used from the rear, hull down, putting artillery and heavy machine gun fire on specific points, to allow infantry to advance. That’s how the Russians use them, and that is why we focussed our tanks on killing them (because we were defending, not advancing.)
We don’t use our tanks that way very often, because our tanks aren’t designed for it. They are designed as tank destroyers, and more importantly, our crews are trained as TD crews. (In WW2, there was an instance of TD crews getting to Europe but having no TDs to man. They were given the standard Shermans instead, and suddenly these Shermans weren’t getting chewed up by Tiger tanks anymore, but were popping Tigers with regularity, at almost the same rate as the Hellcat TDs. Training matters, maybe more than the gear.)
Tanks are not invulnerable. Tanks are almost invulnerable used correctly. We put them on the point, and they get ambushed and killed. The Russian tanks taken out in Ukraine were almost all ambushed in transit. AFAIK, the Ukes have taken out almost no tanks in actual battles. I think I’ve seen one river crossing battle where the Russians actually lost tanks in a stand up fight, and even then the Russians seemed to have a 3:1 KD ratio.

What does this mean? I’m not being facetious or annoying, I really don’t know. It would seem to me that with a decent anti-tank weapon and the ability to move it quickly in something with light, say .308 level small arms protected armor, it would be difficult to do anything with tanks. The tanks would spend all their time attempting to keep from being killed. The actual mission would suffer greatly.
Correctly means as infantry support. Man portable AT weapons should hit an infantry screen before they see the tank. The tank can put aimed fire on them once they are in contact with your infantry. Infantry AT relies on stealth. If you have it on a light armor vehicle, then either it gets tagged by your infantry AT, or its behind its own screen and not engaging your tanks.
