While it’s entirely possible that this activity is some sort of distraction to have everyone looking at Beijing while the PLA launches a surprise attack on Taiwan, I think that it’s more likely that this was globohomo trying to oust Xi, and it looks like it failed. So now there’s going to be a purge of everyone that is even tangentially responsible in the CCP and PLA. They thought that they got everybody during Trump’s first term, but they only got the ones the knew about, which just left the ones they didn’t know about.

Wasted a lot of money in the last two months on upgrading my PC to handle 4K games – 5900X and a RX6800XT – and I gotta tell ya my video editing/encoding times have been cut in half over the 2600/5600XT combo I was working with previously. And Far Cry 5 runs in native 4K flawlessly, just like every other game that I still play. Glad I did that now before the PLA cuts off Taiwan and sends prices on all computer parts up to the stratosphere.

Look at the CPU socket, motherboard chipset, and the bios revision and will get you the features and CPU model support you are looking for. Sometimes a BIOS upgrade is required for newer CPU support.
The video cards are normally dependent on PCI version and number of lanes (Example: PCI 3.0 x16 (16 lane) You need to match up the card to the motherboard specs. You also need to make sure there is enough physical space between the x16 lane slots, because high end cards tend to be 2 slots wide.
Also, some server style motherboards may have ECC (error correcting) RAM, which is more expensive.

Sorry, but the 18-year-old right to vote is a Constitutional Amendment, the 26th. To do what you suggest would mean passing another Constitutional amendment to cancel it out, just like how the 21st Amendment cancelled out the 18th Amendment. I don’t think anyone is upset enough with the 26th Amendment to try to cancel it as they were with the 18th Amendment. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but the odds are pretty astronomical that the 26th Amendment will ever be repealed.
