Drudge linked to this article about a gay porn star found dead under mysterious circumstances. The article mentions there have been a few gay porn stars turning up dead lately. Calls to mind the case of Democratic Donor Ed Buck. He reportedly liked to bring gay prostitute to his home, tie them up, and then once they were disabled he rolled out a mechanic’s tool cart filled with drugs into his living room and shot up the kids with drugs. He finally had one case turn into a dead body on his floor. Police walked in, and neither the dead body or the mechanic’s cart full of drugs were enough to arrest him. Prosecutors didn’t even file charges. No telling what Drudge knows which caused him to post the link. There may be a lot of dead bodies between now and the storm breaking.

I love stories like this because they sound so plausible. This guy is an expert, after all. Except I remember an engineer at Apple saying they actually had the entire engineering team which manufactured some board brought to their headquarters, so they could take them component by component over a finished board, because they feared a hardware compromise from some component being added to their design. Which means this article is completely bunk.
CNN says Democrats are totally fired up and have a 13 point lead going into these midterms. The fake news is deafening.

Entirely plausible. The trick here is that he is being very specific about the hardware/software line. I’m sure that the actual hack itself is in the firmware. However, the trick is to get it in there. You put a hacked firmware on it at the factory, but a competent admin will download known firmware and install that, wiping out your hacked firmware.
So what do you do? You replace a decoupling cap on the i2C line to the chip with a simple microprocessor (WAY simple) that just replaces the string of data in the good firmware with the hacked firmware segment.
It’s not the hack itself. It’s the piece of hardware that makes sure that the hack stays in place.

Someone (regardless of whether the person is r or K) is biologically inclined to support a civil war if and only if his/her (or his/her offspring’s) chances of reproducing successfully (passing on genes) in the pre-war world are less than his/her chances of surviving the war.

Dunham will be the Liz Taylor of our age. She will ricochet between periods of minor escape from a myriad of maladies, and periods spent sick as a dog.
The truth is, this shows the level of stress rabbits live under. a normal person would need to be losing their house, getting divorced, be fired from their jobs, and have their kids diagnosed with cancer to end up as sick as she will be, with all the maladies she has. And she rich, connected, and in reality hasn’t a problem in the world compared to many – beyond her own neurosis.
It does show the dangers of stress though. If you get stressed enough, that stuff can happen to a normie too. Stress breaks down the balance in the body.

I must admit that I’m far too young to be familiar with Liz Taylor (I’m actually five years younger than Dunham), but after a bit of research, I can certainly see some interesting comparisons between the two–from the decades of health issues to the fact that Taylor had seven husbands (I’m not sure how you could convince a man that you’re serious after, say, three or so…but I guess with the possibility/validation of fame/status for the husband, that wasn’t really a factor).
What is different between the two, though, is that Taylor started her career in a time of K and came of age as society was going r–whereas Dunham started her career in a time of r and is coming of age as society is going K. So it will be interesting to see how society treats the two differently.

Here in the UK we recently saw a demonstration of this played out on Celebrity Big Brother. A washed up soap actress with a history of this sort of thing accused a male housemate of repeatedly punching her in the ribs “like a boxer would hit a punch bag”. She refused to sleep in the same room as him, tried to turn the other contestants against him and insisted he be ejected from the house.
Problem was, the whole country saw the incident didn’t happen as she described it and for a week or so became the most hated person in the nation.
She tried to ruin that boy’s life as we watched in astonished disbelief. Because of Roxanne Pallett, “believe all victims” just ain’t gonna fly over here.
