The Nazis Were Into The Occult Too

An interesting article:

The Nazi fascination with fantastical science and the occult has long made for spectacular entertainment. From Indiana Jones trying to save the Holy Grail and the Ark of the Covenant from the Nazis, to comic-book super-soldier serums, to the reoccurring use of supernatural charlatanism to dupe the Germans in Hogan’s Heroes, pop culture has propagated the idea of the Nazis as obsessed with mysticism and mad science. And pop historians have eagerly provided background for these tales.

How much of it is true?

Quite a lot, it turns out. Recently released in paperback by Yale University Press, Eric Kurlander’s book Hitler’s Monsters: A Supernatural History of the Third Reich, provides a sober scholarly treatment of a subject that has frequently been sensationalized in pop history potboilers as well as pop culture. Dr. Kurlander, a history professor at Stetson University, has written a thorough overview of the intersections between Nazism and various mystical, occult, and pseudo-scientific theories. And there is a lot of material to work with, even if the less reliable claims are set aside.

The confusions of the Weimar Republic, following on Germany’s humiliating surrender in the First World War, accelerated a cultural drift away from empirical science and traditional religion. This space was filled by pseudo-science, mysticism, and religious experimentation…

If there is a warning to us in this book, Kurlander suggests it is about the dangers of a culture and its “supernatural imaginary” becoming untethered from “traditional religion and modern science.” Despite the hopes of secular humanists, the space left when traditional religions decline tends to be filled not by rational scientific empiricism, but by still stranger gods.

Today, we seem to see the rise again of this type of mysticism, reincarnated as some blend of satanism, séances, and spirit cooking. Even worse, it is arising among the same type of psychologies, looking for an easy path to total victory, simply handed to them by the occult in return for a few incantations. There are three possibilities to explain this.

The first possibility is that the allure of mysticism is strongest among a certain type of rabbitized psychology. They want free resources, honest competition feels wrong because of their instincts, and they have no deeper revulsion toward evil that would stop them from pursuing the occult to create the world of easy, free victories they are programmed to crave. It feels like a weak explanation, since the occult should yield little tangible benefit and be discarded as a result.

The second possibility may seem less likely. However honest Ivy League educated psychiatrists, wholly skeptical of the paranormal, have been recruited by the Church to weed out the non-possessed that are actually mentally ill, among those seeking exorcisms. Many of those trained men of science and medicine have reported encountering some sort of disembodied sentience which defied explanation by their scientific training. I cannot say it is impossible there is some advantage to the occult, however transient and limited to this plane it might be.

The third possibility is there is some other commonality between our eras and the events transpiring in them. Notice in both cases, these occult belief systems also seem to accompany unprecedented growths in the surveillance states of our respective governments. The Nazis had cultured such dense informant networks that the SS was encouraging even children to inform on their parents.

Obviously today is an era when all of our lives are under the state’s microscope, and the state is intruding into civilian society to degrees never before seen. I have postulated the role of the surveillance state may be to simulate the omniscience of the occult world, and it’s civilian informant network may serve to create the ability to generate seemingly random good fortune in fashions similar to how it might arise from the mythology of the occult.

Suppose the occult is not just a means of generating blackmail, but also a means of creating a blind firewall between those who control the masses with orders, and those who follow the orders. Those who control the system, create the mythology among the controlled, who then assume that the benefits they get for their service come from the ethereal masters of their occult belief system.

The real human masters encourage Spirit Cooking and occult ceremonies, and may even pretend to believe the mythology themselves. Meanwhile behind the scenes an all permeating system of monitoring and controlling of events is operational within the society in the form of the security/surveillance state, generating results which, from the perspective of the controlled, confirm their incredible belief systems by bestowing seemingly random good luck upon them for “serving their ethereal masters.” Add in technology to simulate the paranormal, and the illusion of an omniscient and all powerful spirit world would be complete.

From the perspective of the controllers, this system insulates them perfectly, because even if their corruption networks were uncovered, nobody would ever believe the stories of the controlled and corrupted, that they were serving the occult. They would be seen more as kooks who were misguided, than actually corrupted workers serving some tangible, human master. That protection from consequence, and perhaps that alone, is the only credible reason I could see for the level of financial expenditure with almost no other return, and the level of risk of unrest and chaos if exposed that you see in the system. Everything I have seen would defy every other possible explanation.

The controllers at the top may very well be hanging everyone else out to dry, to insulate themselves from any threat of consequence.

Of course it is always possible it is some combination of the above that leads to this phenomenon. But I do find the coincidental linkage of highly developed security/surveillance states with the infiltration of the occult into government, very interesting. If that model does play some role in these events, it makes you wonder if we might be seeing the same controllers replaying the same script.

If so, then the story Q tells is not so improbable. And the future may be a wild ride.

Tell everyone about r/K Theory, because the only rewards worth seeking are God’s

We are literally living in the Truman Show.

Hopefully…….we can say, “Good morning, and in case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!” to the Cabal permanently.

Speaking of Nazis. Unz has thrown down the gauntlet at the Jews,(he’s Jewish himself), in this post.

http://www.unz.com/runz/american-pravda-oddities-of-the-jewish-religion/

Now this may seem to be off topic but it’s not. Unz says,”…Another fascinating aspect is that up until very recent times, the lives of religious Jews were often dominated by all sorts of highly superstitious practices, including magical charms, potions, spells, incantations, hexes, curses, and sacred talismans, with rabbis often having an important secondary role as sorcerers…”.

Now this fits right into what AC is saying. Could the Nazis have also copied the Jews interest in the supernatural?

There’s something that Unz says that really struck me,”…I think I’ve read here and there that some scholars believe that Hitler may have modeled certain aspects of his racially-focused National Socialist doctrine upon the Jewish example, which really makes perfect sense. After all, he saw that despite their small numbers Jews had gained enormous power in the Soviet Union, Weimar Germany, and numerous other countries throughout Europe, partly due to their extremely strong ethnic cohesion, and he probably reasoned that his own Germanic people, being far greater in numbers and historical achievements could do even better if they adopted similar practices…”.

Holy Smokes. Hitler was trying to copy the Jews in group behavior based on race. This really hit me like a ton of bricks. I wonder why I never really noticed this before? If you think about it it worked. For a time the Germans kicked ass. They went from being so poor people were whoring their children out to eat to having almost zero unemployment and the health and welfare of the Germans far above the suffering Whites in the USA. Some of whom were hanging themselves in their barns.

I think you’re onto something. All three possibilities you outlined can apply.

Re the first possibility – If you’ve ever spent time around New Age types you will see how rabbity they are. Whether they admit it or not they are obsessed with social prestige. They tend to have a lot of narcissistic traits, anxiety disorders are also common. In New Age “spiritual” types there is a desire to obtain or be seen as having obtained some kind of spiritual prestige, like having lived 8500 lives. They think they’re an old soul or a reincarnation of some deity and they’ll tell you that with a straight face. They think they’re on their last life, they think there’s no such thing as evil, that it’s all perception. In the end, what they’re really after is amygdala soothing. They are virtue signalers of the highest order. They think abundance is just around the corner….. no, the next one…. after that….. They fail at logical thinking. Never engage in a debate with these types. Waste of time.

In fact, I think New Age types are using it as an identity formation because they’re incapable of dealing with their failures. I suspect it’s a coping mechanism for narcissistic injury as well as a way for them to feed the ego.

Re: the second possibility – see next. I need to lay out the thoughts for your third possibility to tie it into this one.

Re: the third possibility – Take the sumac tree and its complex underground root system. Eradicating these things is a task and half.

Link: https://pvcblog.blogspot.com/2012/10/sumac-eradication-techniques.html

The surveillance state is not unlike sumac trees and how they spread, and it’s very ….telling how difficult they are to get rid of. Just like it’s difficult to remove your information from the internet. The web does not *have* to be a keeper of records. But it’s like that Hotel California song by The Eagles that was mentioned recently in the comments: you can check out anytime but you can’t leave.

The occult, paranormal aspect could just be the same thing as the earthbound sumac tree, except on the non-corporal level. Disembodied surveillance, in the realm of demons. They are not omniscient but they can seem like they are because they have that invasive root system. If you’re connected into it, they can always siphon whatever they need to convince you that it’s God when it’s really their spy network. It appears to defy space and time because the root system is unseen, underground. Like the Stasi, perhaps the disembodied sentience are also assigned charges to monitor. And it’s all connected, and they’re always sending up new root suckers. The occult arts and practices seem to fit into this area rather snugly.

From the link article: “If sumac is to be eradicated, these below-ground parts of the clone must be dealt with.”

“How are root suckers eradicated?

Whenever a sumac clone is treated in such a manner that its above-ground parts are killed, it must be monitored for the formation of root suckers and when they are found they must be killed with foliar Garlon (3% aqueous Garlon 3A). Each root sucker must be sought out and destroyed. Not all the root suckers appear at the same time. The timing of this search-and-destroy operation will depend on the growing conditions at the site, and must be done for at least three years.”

Every cult/sect/religion is a tool to manipulate/control people into being slaves for their masters.
This is more immediately obvious with Scientology or other cults that are merely about money/power. But quite generally, it is remarkable that in the end, God seems to need a lot of money that his believers have to give to the priest classes.

Buddhism and its teachings of peace were useful for the ruling class to quell defiance, revolts, insubordination.
Mohammed socially engineered a religion purpose-built to conquer land and peoples for “Islam”, for “God”, which, of course, in practice just extended the power/resources of Muhammed and his kin, later the general priest class.
Christianity seems to me in its beginnings as an attempt to take power from the Roman upper class (read Machiavelli’s “Discorsi” on how the ancient ruling classes engineered religions to control the population). Later, it was remodeled into a tool for the rulers/priest class to easier control people, make them into docile slaves (“turn the other cheek”, personal reward not for personal success in the life here, but personal eternal success promised in the afterlife for being a submissive slave following rules/the priests’ class orders perfectly in the real life), that could be “switched” rhetorically into a weapon of war when deemed necessary by the priest class by rallying Christian warriors for war (crusades, internal struggles, defense, conquering new land/people/resources/trade routes etc., conquering of the Americas) .

Religions are convenient as a secondary, less obvious, and more flexible ruling mechanism besides “hard” laws of the legal justice system. Religious rules are powerful social tools, can make people behave according to the interests of the priest/upper/ruling class (I have not yet come to find a better term for this, as those classes tend to overlap, but are not identical) while not being strictly legally enforceable. Much of their power to control behavior appears to arrive from the soft power threat of social exclusion – by the way a threat that works much more effectively on women than men.

Religions as a social weapon to control and manipulate people are often employed in “tiers of revelation of holy truth”, for example sects giving access to “higher truths, privileged knowledge, privileged power”, only to members that have proven their loyalty. Scientology even has tiers of religious prestige (“Thetan levels”) based on how much money you gave the church.
Christian Churches, for some time, had the same kind of much-too-obvious scheme:
“Letters of indulgence”, by which believers could pay money to get cleansed of sins, effectively
being able to pay themselves into heaven’s paradise in the afterlife.
In the Catholic Church seems to exist a whole ecosystem of secret cults and groups, for example different “Knights of” and “Orders of” of open and secret kind. For example, to defend the Church, there appears to be a secret organization within it that introduces members by the “secret knowledge” that the cross symbol is no mere killing/torture device depicting the suffering/sin-transfer of Jesus for humanity, but also the symbol of a sword, and only especially trusted members of the Church that are special/loyal/superior etc. are trusted with that knowledge and related doctrines to do special tasks (kind of religious special agents, spies etc.) for the Church to expand its security/influence/power in ways official doctrine would forbid (spying, murder, provoking revolts or war in populations etc.).

Such social tools of “prestige/status elevation” to control and manipulate are also employed in secular contexts: For example, governments and intelligence agencies cultivate many journalists, telling them “secrets”, telling them what the government “really” wants – in exchange for government-friendly articles and statements: By elevating the selected journalists’ social status by “trusting” them with privileged information, they can expect loyal reporting as compensation; the journalists feel flattered and special for being “trusted with secrets and power”, and repay the favor by being extra motivated to keep those “secrets” and “government intentions” secret and argue and report to the public in ways advantageous to the agencies/government (“responsible reporting”) – without the need to tightly control such journalists, or even blackmailing them. Deceptive or true partial privileged insights into ruling power mechanisms or real objectives of government are used as tools to control such journalists – they feel loyalty, privilege, power – almost like being in power and truly knowledgeable themselves, thereby self-motivatedly furthering the interests of the gov./agencies/ruling class – all by themselves, without any need of direct oppression or control on the journalists – who feel flattered by the great “responsibility” and “trust” given to them.
If they behave (turn out to be loyal mouthpieces), they then tend to rise in the ranks of journalism and make a lot of money – and perceive to wield power, but are actually exercising power for their handlers in gov./agencies/ruling class. Once risen high and enjoying lavish incomes, that state of being is furthering their loyalty even more: Now they are self-motivated to stay in the privileged, comfortable, income-rich position – which is only possible by staying loyal deceivers of the public.
First, such journalists are hooked with narcissism and quickly elevated, and once recruited, kept as loyal slave reporters by the fear of losing it all again – no extortion, no open blackmail – they know all too well by themselves what they need to keep doing to prevent from falling down again.

Another note:
Arthur C. Clarke once said: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
This has some serious implication on religious revelation:
We no longer can be certain of recognizing God, prophets, coming of Jesus etc. even if they manifested themselves right before our eyes, because any highly enough technologically advanced entity (man or perhaps even alien) must be able to manipulate our senses and even brain processes in ways to deceive us into perceiving real any deception.
Even we today could achieve this effect, if we were able to travel back in time into pre-scientific times: We could use infrared lasers to set alight bushes, use helicopters with strobe lights and smoke emitters, lasers and mighty loudspeakers as “cherubim descending from heaven”, or even turn a whole city into “salt” (–>Lot’s wife) with regular or nuclear bombs. To our scientifically primitive ancestors we could wield a lot of magic, and appear as God.
Given a few millennia or so of further scientific progress, it appears reasonable that such advanced humans are able to remotely control even the perception and cognitive processes of humans remotely.
Thus, even if God himself descended on Earth today, it seems to me we could not any longer be 100% sure, being “true believers”- it might not be God, only somebody with highly advanced technology posing as God.

By the way:
The Catholic Church was the first huge spy network in existence (as we know):
It span over continents, (almost?) every priest an agent.
The confession/sacrament of penance was functionally an interrogation to achieve secret knowledge and insights.
If the information so received was deemed valuable, it was put into cryptographic and steganographic messages to be relayed to higher levels of the Church’s organisation or even directly to the Vatican.
In those times messages traveled very slowly; insights into political and economical/financial affairs could be exploited by the Church and turned into power or financial gain.
For a long time period, a mail system was inexistant; messages were letters given to and transported by travelers, traders or, if “express delivery” was needed – messenger horsemen.
The only regular and more “secure” means of transportation for letters were messengers of the Church – which operated a “mail-like system”. It was reasonable priced and thought of as more reliable than taking chances with travelers or traveling tradesmen, and much cheaper than specialized horse-messengers.
This affordable service and its reputation for being trustworthy had great utility for the Church: It learned at least of the “traffic data” (who communicates with whom and when) – in itself a source of significant insights into political, economic and financial processes – and, later then in organized ways – of the contents of the letters.
Later, for reasons I do not understand (why would the Church allow this?), a regular non-Church postal service was established; and put into the hands of a Noble house in Europe/Germany:

(I hit enter prematurely)
This postal service ended up in the hands of the Noble house of Thurn and Taxis:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thurn-und-Taxis_Post
which then used an organized system of secret mail rooms to covertly open, read, decipher, reseal
and deliver the mail.
The great wealth of that noble house grew from that organized mail surveillance;
and because it was so widespread, common even, while still highly secret in its time,
I think that at least governments “secretly-officially” just outsourced mail intelligence to that organization/noble house – and perhaps the Church as well.
Thurn and Taxis were the first widespread non-Church/secular mail system surveillance organization I know of;
locally, practically every country and local ruler had their own system in place, too.

If we skip in time forward into modernity, the postal mail surveillance of course is still existing;
but the rising volume of mail made covert mail inspection not as ubiquitous as it once were, because there was simply not enough personnel to read and analyze all those letters.
This changed in the late 80s/early 90s: Mail sorting offices/processing and distribution centers were upgraded with a few roughly washing-machine-sized boxes, housing industrial computer tomographs (roughly µm-resolution) that rendered high-resolution images of letters going through them automatically by X-ray scanning, without having to open the letter, and in seconds or even a fraction of a second per letter. Because of the need of X-ray contrast, pencil-(carbon)-on-paper could not be read automatically this way (the elements of C in the pencil and C, H and O in the paper are too similar in atomic weight and therefore produce not enough X-ray contrast) – but inks and toners for typewriters and computer printers, as well most inks for hand writing, contain heavier metals, which produced enough contrast to automatically produce a text file/image file from any letter sent through these automatic letter content scanners.
At their introduction in the 90s, the only limit for this automatic process was the computing and memory capacity. Today, there is no known limit I am aware of anymore.

Remember that in ancient civilization “Sons of God” or “Watchers” taught humanity many things that corrupted them forcing God to destroy the world at the time restarting with Noah and his family.

Those same forces Nazis were in contact with taught them techniques of evil and their marching orders leading to the nightmares that inhabit our world today by spiritual beings that hate God.

Ron Unz has written about Talmudic practices that include magic, incantations, other forms of ‘prayer’ to trick Angels and worship of Satan (as a fallen Angel). The there’s the mysticism of the Kabbalah.

http://www.unz.com/runz/american-pravda-oddities-of-the-jewish-religion/

A long, but good and informative read.

Hitler is alleged to have been a Rothschild and therefore ‘Jewish’ so maybe the Nazi interest in the occult stems as much from that as anything else. Various commenters on Vox Day’s commemtary about Ron’s article mention the different antecedents of those described as Jews especially the difference between the 12 tribes of Israel and what may have happened after their ‘escape’ from Babylon.
