There are a few different angles which show what appears to be muzzle flashes in the middle of the building, far below and away from the room of the identified shooter:
Interestingly I heard one officer on a scanner feed say he saw the shooter halfway up the Mandalay, and others did too:

That was echoed by a citizen who saw it:
Heads tucked down, the couple raced to a concession stand where they ducked behind a counter. Mr Yazzie said he could tell the gunfire was coming from an elevated area and saw what looked like a camera flashing non-stop about halfway up the Mandalay Bay tower.
It is curious. But there are rebuttals. Supposedly the shooter fired through the door and hit a security guard in the leg. Then again, how did he fire through the door with a full auto and only hit the guard in the leg once? With an open window, you could fly a drone with a firearm rigged to it in, fire through the door, drop the firearm, and fly it out. If those security cameras mounted outside were WIFI and transmitting, that might explain them. Unlikely, admittedly, but today I will believe anything is possible. The whole thing will require detailed forensics, and even then there are no guarantees if the perpetrators were clever enough, given current tech.
Some have criticized these videos based on the fact no window was broken in the region where the flash was coming from when the building was photographed the next day. I have no idea if that is a trick of light, a coconspirator taking photographs with a flash camera, or another shooter, but I suspect it would be possible to have it be a shooter, and not have the windows broken.
Those buildings are usually designed to install the windows from the inside. That is for two reasons. It makes assembly easier than having construction workers dangling from ropes or hanging scaffolds outside the building when the windows are installed, and it makes repair easier, because if a window breaks a replacement can be installed from inside the building, rather than from a dangling repairman outside.
I saw a case where a woman on one building had her parrot with clipped primary wing feathers, out on her balcony on a perch. As the wind whipped in, the bird raised its wings and began beating them with excitement as the wind flowed over them. Unfortunately it had just enough feathers left to get some lift, and it drifted off the balcony and across the street, coming to land on a small ledge just outside a similar window on a neighboring high-rise apartment. The building maintenance guy there came in with a rechargeable drill with a screwdriver bit, removed about forty screws from a metal flange around the window, removed the flange, and then removed a rubber strip. He clamped a couple of big suction cups on the glass, and carried it into the room and leaned it against the wall as the bird owner retrieved her parrot. It was reinstalled in a few minutes by reversing the process.
If you rented a room like that at night, it might actually be easier, and quieter to bring a rechargeable drill and remove the glass that way, than to break it out. Then after the shooting you replace the glass, and continue on your way. If you used a silencer, it is possible the noise would be lost in the reports of the other shooter.
I still think this was a lone nut, but I hope Law Enforcement is checking the screws on the windows on that area for any recent signs of damage or scuffing and gunpowder residue. If there were coconspirators, or even an Islamic State setup executed as this guy was laying on the floor dead, as was rumored on other sites, that needs to be ironed out.

The repeating flash you see on all the videos from the 4th floor area is a strobe light. It was running both before and after the attack, and had apparently been going for days.
Note, though, that the people on site could see the flashes from 32, even though you really can’t make them out on camera. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were 4th floor flashes separate from the strobe, though.
Have you seen the 1970 Movie “Waterloo”? There is a detail in this movie that happens just when you realy recreate the marching formations with real people with real gear on them that most likely every animator would forgett, which is the reflection of light in the metal parts of the soldiers equitment. From all these hundrets of men marching, just one or two flashes shine up every moment, cause thats the right ankle the light reflexts so that the viewer can see it. I say the fash of light in the window is the reflextion of the disco light thing they had at the concert.
There are a *lot* of things about this attack that just don’t add up in a way that supports the way the media is taking the narrative. I have *zero* confidence that the public will ever have access to the details we need to assess what happened. I have *zero* confidence that law enforcement will consider pretty obvious possibilities around multiple parties being involved. They have their patsy. Their patsy fits a convenient anti-2nd Amendment narrative. Done.

My big question is why does the job look so incomplete and haphazard? This guy apparently planned and prepared for a year and everything looks wrong. He brought far more weapons and ammo to the room than he used. He stopped shooting after about ten minutes but the official reports say that only some of the weapons had jammed and he still had plenty of ammo. He just sat there waiting, then only managed to wound one security guard before the taxpayer relief shot?
They say he planned to escape, so why didn’t he try? Why did he shoot so long, knowing it wouldn’t take long to get a fix on his location. Everybody nearby in the hotel knew exactly where the shooting was coming from. He had to know every one of them was dialing 911.
Then there is his car. Loaded with plenty of destructive toys, why? What was part two? Obviously he intended to blow something up, he wouldn’t just have that stuff in there, getting a random traffic stop in the chaos would be too risky if he was just planning to shoot and ghost away.
Now add in the second window break to shoot at a fuel dump. Did he really think a puny rifle would be able to light that off? That wouldn’t have worked pre-911, certainly any big juicy target like that now would require some heavy hits to blow up. Yet he wanted time pointlessly plinking at it? Or was someone else in the room, someone who wasn’t so bright?
Why were all the bipods extended, even though he didn’t have anything to brace them on? Why didn’t he bring a folding shooting bench if he planned this? Why was the giant stack of magazines on the wrong side of the pillar for him to be able to reach them from his shooting position?
All of these inconsistencies stop being inconsistencies if you assume the room was set up for an arms deal and turned into an attack site. Even the tannerite and “several pounds” of Ammonium Nitrate in his van make sense. “Let’s go out into the desert and test these, I’ve got explosive targets.” You said you were interested in Ammonium Nitrate. I can get you tons. Take this several pounds back with you, test it, and let me know how much you want shipped to you.
Several pounds of AN make no sense as a terror weapon. They make perfect sense as a test sample before you buy tons.

i wonder how many people died/injured from gunshot wounds and how many were trampled.
And how many died from survivable wounds, but for the 1:12 delay or from well-meaning, but misguided bystanders who failed to apply tourniquets or moved victims in a manner that made their prognosis worse.
Obviously certain facts support certain narratives.
And I’m surprised CNN/Fox hasn’t interviewed a tenant from one of Perp’s properties (that I know of). Seriously, they couldn’t find one tenant/appraiser/broker? It would be crazy interesting if Perp. laundered overseas cash.
Right. There is a video of an interview conducted well after the shooting had stopped where you can see the 4th floor light flashing silently.
I was fooled by the strobe light into thinking there MUST be two shooters. Apparently not or at least not for sure. Part of the problem is we’re fed so much BS that we have to use any scrap of information to draw our own conclusions. There’s no one we can trust to inform us. Actually Casey, the CIA, Direstor said that was one of his goals. Well it worked.
I’m still on the fence about there being two shooters from the loud shots verses the less loud. Some say it’s echos and I first thought so but one video showed the echos NOT lining up to the same number and one video shows them lining up in number. I don’t know the truth.
It is impossible to know anything today. The media is BS, the Politicians are BS, LE is ultimately controlled by whoever controls them, even much of the internet is locked down. Everything has to be reviewed, every possibility measured in probabilities, and you have to see the world almost as a multiverse, where all the possibilities can exist simultaneously. This dude could have been undercover FBI, he could have been a Cartel Mule, he could have just been a crazy dude. Single shooter, multiple shooters, and so on are all possible.
It is possible that is the goal, to put us in this state, though I think that is worse for the machine too. No longer can they control a narrative, as once you make this leap, you trust nobody. The machine needs people clinging to normalcy bias, and that is rapidly going out the window.
