Two Points Of Interest In The First Debate

I saw video of Hillary arriving at the debate. She was a different, unmedicated person, who looked ill and walked with great care and caution, leading me to believe she did indeed alter her med regimen, reducing or eliminating doses to make them more effective during the debate.

For those who didn’t watch, Hillary gave the type of very prepared recitations of numbers and liberal “facts” which would cause moderately smart people to zone out, and which really smart people would ignore, knowing they were merely the liberal slant on the issues. She was also holier than thou as she would do it, and that was punctuated by short bitchy points. That would then be followed by long period of silence as Trump spoke, during which she did not look well. She often looked down, and would blink by closing her eyes for a second. The blinking and downward glances even occurred as she was talking, which I assume was to try and tone down her amygdala so she could focus on what was said. I would file away that she has problems with eye contact, and it is a trigger, as is often the case in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. If there is a debate organized as a roundtable, Donald needs to address each answer directly to her while locking eye contact, and lock direct eye contact as she is trying to answer, while subtly moving in such a way as to attract her attention to him when she averts her eyes.

Trump gave his typical basic ideas of patriotism, loyalty, building the economy, defending the nation, and making America great. The comments would periodically wander, in ways that probably turned off people’s amygdalae and put them in an open, unresisting state of mind that would accept his subsequent ideas without resistance. From reports, it appears he had his effect, given all the polls which say he won.

Trump did not press Hillary consistently, which was smart because in my opinion nobody could predict where the boundary lines were. He could easily have triggered a massive physical response that would have the next debate be against Bernie or Michelle Obama. If I understand Donald’s thinking (no guarantees) he may start to press her a little harder in debate two, to test where the limits are. I hope he does, because it looks like he has the leeway. Debate three is where I would go all in and look to take her out with a nuclear hijack. Debate two is where you would have to shock her, to both add some dread to debate three to prep her, and to figure out how far you will have to go.

Now two interesting parts. I saw Hillary exhibit a fairly sharp startle reflex when Trump accidently brushed his mic in the first half of the debate, and it made a large unusual sound. She was looking down and the noise caught her unaware, causing her to jump. She immediately recovered, but the way her head jumped was not normal. She is sensitive to noise. I’ll bet banging a table during a debate for emphasis would add amygdala load.

The most interesting part to me though, was Trump calling her a “Political Hack”, albeit indirectly. Her next response went right over my head. I didn’t even hear a word she said, because I was taken with two things. I just looked it up for this post, but until I read it in the transcript, I could not have told you what she was talking about, even seconds after she said it, so impressive was what I saw.

One, she took on the cognitive mode I think of as autopilot, and I was mesmerized by it. Here is the exchange:

HOLT: Mr. Trump, you have two minutes and the same question. Who’s behind it? [The computer Hacking] And how do we fight it?

TRUMP: I do want to say that I was just endorsed — and more are coming next week — it will be over 200 admirals, many of them here — admirals and generals endorsed me to lead this country. That just happened, and many more are coming. And I’m very proud of it.

In addition, I was just endorsed by ICE. They’ve never endorsed anybody before on immigration. I was just endorsed by ICE. I was just recently endorsed — 16,500 Border Patrol agents.

So when Secretary Clinton talks about this, I mean, I’ll take the admirals and I’ll take the generals any day over the political hacks that I see that have led our country so brilliantly over the last 10 years with their knowledge. OK? Because look at the mess that we’re in. Look at the mess that we’re in.

As far as the cyber, I agree to parts of what Secretary Clinton said. We should be better than anybody else, and perhaps we’re not. I don’t think anybody knows it was Russia that broke into the DNC. She’s saying Russia, Russia, Russia, but I don’t — maybe it was. I mean, it could be Russia, but it could also be China. It could also be lots of other people. It also could be somebody sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds, OK?

TRUMP: You don’t know who broke in to DNC.

But what did we learn with DNC? We learned that Bernie Sanders was taken advantage of by your people, by Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Look what happened to her. But Bernie Sanders was taken advantage of. That’s what we learned.

Now, whether that was Russia, whether that was China, whether it was another country, we don’t know, because the truth is, under President Obama we’ve lost control of things that we used to have control over.

We came in with the Internet, we came up with the Internet, and I think Secretary Clinton and myself would agree very much, when you look at what ISIS is doing with the Internet, they’re beating us at our own game. ISIS.

So we have to get very, very tough on cyber and cyber warfare. It is — it is a huge problem. I have a son. He’s 10 years old. He has computers. He is so good with these computers, it’s unbelievable. The security aspect of cyber is very, very tough. And maybe it’s hardly doable.

But I will say, we are not doing the job we should be doing. But that’s true throughout our whole governmental society. We have so many things that we have to do better, Lester, and certainly cyber is one of them.

HOLT: Secretary Clinton?

CLINTON: Well, I think there are a number of issues that we should be addressing. I have put forth a plan to defeat ISIS. It does involve going after them online. I think we need to do much more with our tech companies to prevent ISIS and their operatives from being able to use the Internet to radicalize, even direct people in our country and Europe and elsewhere.

But we also have to intensify our air strikes against ISIS and eventually support our Arab and Kurdish partners to be able to actually take out ISIS in Raqqa, end their claim of being a Caliphate.

We’re making progress. Our military is assisting in Iraq. And we’re hoping that within the year we’ll be able to push ISIS out of Iraq and then, you know, really squeeze them in Syria.

But we have to be cognizant of the fact that they’ve had foreign fighters coming to volunteer for them, foreign money, foreign weapons, so we have to make this the top priority.

And I would also do everything possible to take out their leadership. I was involved in a number of efforts to take out Al Qaida leadership when I was secretary of state, including, of course, taking out bin Laden. And I think we need to go after Baghdadi, as well, make that one of our organizing principles. Because we’ve got to defeat ISIS, and we’ve got to do everything we can to disrupt their propaganda efforts online.

Notice how it rambles and jumps from ISIS, to Al Qaida, to Baghdadi. By the end she is saying that taking out Baghdadi should be one of our organizing principles, as if taking out one terrorist ever changed anything. How did you get from cybersecurity and Russian hacking to that? I didn’t even notice the rambling. All I saw was the vacant look and the glassy eyes. She was not there, she was just auto-piloting off memorized points.

First, why was the effect so great? Donald turned to her, and in essence called her a hack to her face (but in such a way he wasn’t clearly referencing her, but her amygdala flagged it). That was the initial hijack – a direct confrontation-fuck-you-to-your-face, and now her amygdala was sensitized. That would mean she is used to Bill and her staffers avoiding her attacks. A direct attack will leave her reeling.

Then he points out the mess we are in, which is a failure of her leadership. Then he draws the image of a 400 lb person in bed. Fat person – in bed – might have tripped Hillary’s amygdala as the image passed through, because she was just a fat person in bed as she was recovering before the debate.

He then out-groups her with liberals over her screwing over Bernie. Then the image of Wasserman Schultz – “look what happened to her” – an image Hillary’s amygdala would flag as a threat possibly happening to her. Then Donald in-groups himself with the line about his son, which old people will relate to, but which may have hit Hilary’s narcissistic envy as well.

I would assume Hillary sees young kids, who can use computers effortlessly, and there she is unable to get a new Blackberry because she can’t figure out how the new one works, like an idiot. It is possible that in her rabbit amygdala, that line made her recall the envy, and the embarrassment, and incompetence which she feels every time she sees that, and compares herself to these ten year old kids. Trump’s kid can use technology, and she can’t. Once you hit that amygdala, as Donald did unmistakably with “Hack” lots of other stuff becomes amygdala triggering.

So what was Hillary’s response? The question was computer security, and she autopilots to how we need to push ISIS out of Iraq, and, “you know, really squeeze them in Syria.” How did we get on ISIS? It was the one place where Donald hung out an olive branch. But Donald didn’t even mention fighting ISIS in Iraq – he said he and Hillary would agree that ISIS are outdoing us in the cyber realm. All of the rest of what Donald said, what the subject they were talking about was – it was all shit-canned by her amygdala, because it was too traumatic. All she knew was ISIS, and she auto-piloted to her ISIS response about how to push them out of Iraq. What absorbed me was seeing all the indices of a fleshy robot that was on it’s own line, auto-piloting.

I have only seen auto-piloting two times in person, and in both cases it was much more apparent. In both cases there was no full “stroking” hijack, so my assumption is that it can be amygdala-protective during critical times. My narcissist Bob was once suddenly amygdala hijacked in front of me over his screwing of a third party, and he entered the most extreme form of autopilot I have ever seen. His eyes went blank as he looked down, he became wholly oblivious to everything around him, and he began a rhythmic recitation of “things.” In his case, the things were instances where he had been screwed over by the person he screwed, but I took away from it that they could have been anything vaguely relevant – the recitation was on autopilot, and he, as a reacting human being, was not there.

He became so wholly focused on the rhythmic recitation, that as the other person who hijacked him tried to interject, he did not even notice. After three or four attempts to interject, the person walked away shaking their head, and Bob, looking down and reciting, failed to notice. I cannot imagine having a conversation, and not noticing the person I am talking to walk away, but then that is why I call it auto-piloting. Bob wasn’t there. I tried to tell him once that the person he was talking to had left, he ignored me, continuing his recitation, and then finally the second time I got through to him, and which point he looked up and said, “What?” A third time I said, “They left.” He looked around surprised, and said angrily, “Where’d they go?”

I blew him off with “I don’t know,” as if I didn’t care, and filed away that when a narcissist becomes triggered, they can focus themselves so intently on an auto-piloted response to divert their amygdala from the trigger, that they cannot be reached by the external reality around them.

The other interesting facet was that I could not have called to mind, and listed “things,” extemporaneously, as fast as Bob did – and Bob was not smart or capable. I concluded he had spent a lot of time reciting to himself all of the times he felt he had been screwed, to the point that he could quickly and rhythmically unleash a three minute-long torrent of grudges he held, against any person he needed to, at a moment’s notice.

The other time I saw auto-piloting was again an older male, and this time he was turned at 90 degrees to the two other people in the conversation, and he kept karate chopping one hand into his palm for emphasis of each thing, while only looking at the hand. In that case the things were reasons (untrue reasons) that one person was incorrect, when they were in fact correct about something that triggered him.

The other interesting part of Hillary’s response? Her throat acted up in response to the hijack. Pull the youtube video of the debate, and listen to her voice throughout the entire debate. It is smooth, and controlled. However, while Hillary was on autopilot in the above quoted segment, it took on a “rough” tone, and began to get irritated. At the end of the autopiloted segment, she even had to clear her throat, though she did it quietly, and tried to hide it. It was her only throat clearing in the debate.

I find this interesting for the following reason. Emotions are preprogrammed modes. Fear prepares you for flight. Anger prepares you for fight and confrontation. These modes change a lot of things at the neurological level, from decisions to body functions, even including the muscles controlling voices. There are frightened mousy voices, bouncy happy voices, and growling angry voices. You don’t change your voice consciously – it is an integral part of the emotional state, produced by the shift in neurological function.

When amygdala hijacked, Hillary’s voice changed, in such a way she began to get some sort of irritation causing phlegm production, which she had to clear, and her voice gave the impression that had it continued, she would have irritated it and had a coughing fit again.

Notice during one coughing jag, she joked that she was allergic to Trump, because the problems started when she had to talk about him. I wonder if she has been so pissed off about Trump that when she thinks about him, something happens to the neurological function governing her voice that causes that problem. Last night she was freshly medicated after enduring a withdrawal that made the drugs more effective than normal. But I doubt she can take five nights off before every debate. I will bet that in the next debate she will be more vulnerable.

Finally, I saw Clinton’s post-debate interview, which appeared to be on a plane, and she looked high as a kite. It was a big change from the end of the debate, when she looked mentally and physically exhausted. For a narcissist, the worst part of an amygdala hijack appeared to me to not be the actual hijack, but rather an hour or so after. The initial hijack is awful, but notice Mike Wallace would endure the initial hijack – it was in the aftermath that he would start popping pills and scribbling a suicide note. In the initial hijack, there is panic, but then the amygdala shuts down, and it is kind of like a stroke where people aren’t really aware of the stroke. The aftermath is where the real misery is, because when an overwhelmed amygdala comes back online, there is depression, illness, and migraines that disable them.

So I find it interesting that Hillary at first appeared exhausted on stage after the debate, and then appeared to hit the needle right after to avoid the after effects of facing the Donald.

Finally Hillary looked shaken when Trump mentioned what happened behind the blue screen at the AFL-CIO meeting:

TRUMP: Wait. The AFL-CIO the other day, behind the blue screen, I don’t know who you were talking to, Secretary Clinton, but you were totally out of control. I said, there’s a person with a temperament that’s got a problem.

I suspect she immediately panicked, wondering what explosion at staff Trump had witnessed. Trump needs somebody with covert video shadowing her at events, looking to catch her dealing with her staff. This is one rude, abusive bitch, and any video Trump’s people get of her doing that will put this election to bed once and for all.

Hopefully the next debate will begin the amygdala hijacking fireworks.

This one was reconnaissance by fire. Now he knows where her weaknesses are, and he’s going to try to put her in as many autopilots as possible. Third debate he’ll try to put her into full spaz.

The irony is that this is the first amygdala training she’s gotten in years, so Trump might actually strengthen her up enough in the first two debates that she doesn’t go full spaz in the third.

Actual tactic, if you aren’t familiar.

Could be true, but I tend to think waiting until the third debate to break out the chainsaw would be a mistake. Realistically speaking, the debate moderators will do their best to protect Clinton from achieving a spectacular meltdown. Pinning it all on the last debate could result in a dud. Knowing that after the last debate she doesn’t have to face Trump again, Clinton might be able to keep her cool if she has not been sufficiently pre-agitated.

I think the establishment powers that be honestly thought this race was going to be an easy win, just keep riding that progressive wave of the First Black President to get your First Female President. I don’t think the republicans were SUPPOSED to have someone to stand up to Hillary, which left a vacuum for Trump to fill. HILLary wasn’t supposed to face REAL, ACTUAL competition, and she is clearly not physically up to the task.

So we can expect shenanigans come electoral college voting if she can live that long. I don’t think they’ve been able to buy Trump yet, and God help us, I hope they don’t threaten him or his family (they will). This is going to get really, really interesting in the next few months!

I would really like to see start off one of the next two debates focusing the audience in on her recitation sound bites

“I want everyone watching to listen closely, because this is important. Listen to every word secretary Clinton says because it’s clear that every word is just a scripted response. Programmed and Robotic. We don’t need programmed talkers in charge of this country, we need a dynamic leader”

I think the use of the word robot and programmed could be particularly strong both to Hillary and with viewers because it elicits images of her seizures and Hillbot.

I thought Hillary did way better than I would have suspected. Here’s a person who was falling out a couple weeks ago. Hillary is a tough ole bird.
I don’t have the experiences you have so I didn’t really see some of the fine grained things you notice.
The Donald is going to have to hang in there it’s not over yet.

.. less clear, but someone thinks her ‘whew, ok!’ and rolling her shoulders may have been ‘working with’ a small seizure. Donald supposedly says ‘seizure’ under his breath.

… that’s at 1:22:06-ish of this unadulterated video btw:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuHuzhzb1nc&t=1h22m6s

she has two separate little groups of shoulder-shaking, it’s possible the first one was involuntary, the second, her ‘playing it up’. It also may be nothing, just her repeating good schtick but it does fit with your theory of her amygdala getting attacked.

I think you’re wrong about Trump’s comment regarding the incident with the blue screen at the AFL-CIO meeting. I think Trump is referring to this pre-recorded video that was played for union members at the meeting:

https://youtu.be/ZtLznfIDEzI

Hillary does look deranged in that video and I would love a campaign ad of her saying there is “no right to work” juxtaposed with her saying she’s going to put coal miners and oil workers out of business. I think that is the video that Trump is referring to.

It was an interesting blog post anyway.

When I heard Trump mention a 400 lb person in bed and his 10 year old son’s computer skills, I wondered what the hell was happening. But I never imagined those images were moves in a 4D chess game as you spelled out here. I’m impressed with your insights (and with DJT’s game). Can’t wait for rounds 2 and 3!
