European Migrants – Where Is The Money Going?

Just saw this article:

The Berlin Senate has announced an audacious, and some would say totally inappropriate plan to house 10,000 migrants in mid level to luxury hotels in the city with a total price tag of at least 600 million euros.

The senate has requested a contract with Grand City Hotels to lease out 22 hotels to house migrants in the city. According to German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine the senate entered negotiations with London-based Hampton Holding, the owners of the popular Holiday Inn and Wyndam hotels in Berlin.

Obviously it is r-strategists currying favors with angry outsiders. The problem German homeless have is that they don’t have enough of a reputation for violence, and a hatred for Germans. But there is more to it.

That 600 million Euros is just for temporary housing, for only 10,000 of the migrants who arrived in 2015. Imagine the full amount of money that will have to be spent on the full one million migrants just from 2015, for their entire lives, from clothes, to mobile phones, to food, to transportation, to law enforcement, to the multitude of mini-government diversification programs like bilingual government pamphlets – not even considering legal services, background investigations, and government offices to handle all the asylum applications. Now imagine that 1 million number becoming the 20 million some were estimating this would turn into after the current migrants sought family reunifications, and brought over their wives and children. And that is just the migrants for 2015. Now imagine how this increased consumption with conjured fiat currency will create jobs as it drives the demand for these products and services up. Then imagine how those increased prices will force increased spending and decreased saving by native citizens, who will have to spend more to get the same amount of food and housing.

I don’t know if this is an attempt to prop up the housing market so people’s home values will increase and they will feel richer and not worry about the collapse, if it is designed to affect spending by the populations, or if it is a boondoggle forcing excessive spending and funneling more debt-spending state funds into the pockets of a select few state cronies, or if it is a craven attempt to import a hostile force to tie up indigenous citizens enraged after a collapse. Most likely it is a combination of all of that.

I do strongly suspect when we look back at this someday, we will see a clear motive which is at present, eluding us.

What hotel chain would be crazy enough to take that deal?
