Was Huma A Saudi Spy Raiding The Burn Bags?

Interesting email here:

Emails released on Monday show that Hillary Clinton’s top State Department aide, Huma Abedin, left classified government information that needed to be burned in the front seat of her vehicle.

“Favor” is the subject of Abedin’s July 20, 2009 email to Lauren Jiloty, Clinton’s personal assistant. Judicial Watch obtained the records and hundreds more pages of Abedin emails as part of its ongoing Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the State Department.

“I’m going to have ambassador ride on next drive,” wrote Abedin. “There’s a bunch of burn stuff in the pocket of my front seat.”

And seemingly realizing the significance of her error, Abedin asked Jiloty to move the documents to a more secure location.

“Can u put in trunk?” she asked.

One of the more infamous spies, Navy spy Michael Lance Walker, gathered his classified materials by raiding the burn bags aboard his ship, and taking out the documents before they were burned. Since the bags were then taken directly for destruction, nobody ever missed the lost documents.

Accused U.S. spy Michael Lance Walker had access to a so-called “burn bag” of secret documents on the nuclear aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, Navy sources disclosed yesterday as officials continued to investigate a case of espionage they said may have been more far more damaging to national security than originally suspected.

The most sensitive documents on a carrier generally are shredded, sources said, but other classified material is set aside to be burned. Documents in the burn bag could contain information on the movements of American and Soviet ships…

Michael Walker was assigned to destroy materials up to the level of “secret” in the “burn bag,” Navy sources said.

Retired Adm. Eugene Carroll, deputy director of the Center for Defense Information, a Washington policy group, said that Walker’s “burn bag” duty would permit him to see a much wider variety of material than a normal seaman.

Among the items found in a search of Walker’s bunk area on the Nimitz was a box containing about 15 pounds of classified material, according to an FBI affidavit filed in federal court in Baltimore.

I find this email kind of curious, given I do not see how classified material flagged for burning ends up just laying around in Huma’s car, rather than being immediately stuffed into a burn bag which would be held in a secure location.

If I were The Donald, I would be demanding a full FBI investigation, given how the last time we saw such behaviors in relation to burn bags, it was one of the most serious spy cases in US history.

This could be huge.
