Let Muslims move in at three or four percent of the population, and they will behave themselves and never make waves, no matter what you do to them. Let their numbers rise to near a majority, and they allow the most violent among them to demand to take over, be given free resources, and allowed to brutalize everyone.
Clearly there will be no living with them in Europe once the Apocalypse hits.

I think the collapse will drive many Muslims home, and after a decade of amygdala-exercise, the remaining Europeans will purge the Muslim ghettos to rid themselves of the crime.
It would depend on the European nation and it people? I mean some will fight back and succeed but I am sure if history is any lesson there will be loser to the invaders. It took 700 years for Spain to be free of Moroccan rule but North Africa and middle east are loss and doesn’t seem like it will reserve anytime soon.
In Egypt the population of Muslim after the conquest was only less than 15%. Over time with taxes on non-Muslims and any resistant been put down. For example the city of Alexander the lighthouse one of the several wonders of the ancient world was destroy and the library which it was famous for, it was slowly empty of books over time. The population slowly either got replace by Muslims out breeding them, some converted to void the taxes, others left the country and the rest stayed for their children to become the minority. Today there is little hope of Egypt ever to reclaim it’s place as one of the most cultural and educated civilization because of the type of people in the country.
All I am saying is that don’t kid yourself, this is not going to be an easy fight. Many Europeans will chose to convert or leave instead of fighting. Probably fleeing to the US or Australia. The one’s left fighting will face an enemy that not only out numbers them but has outside support, probably better weapons and many in the ranks of the different Europeans will be traitors within the populations (r types). The different nations will also not be untied and will have there own battles, problems or be converting. This will make the wars in the 15th and 16th centuries against the invading Turks look small and tame in comparison. What is left after is a disunited and weaken Europe similar to that of the 9th and 10th century.

The aspect you are forgetting is that since the Winged Hussars arrived in 1683, it has been nearly non-stop winning when the West fights Arabs in total war. The Polish Winged Hussars trounced 20,000 Janissaries with around 5,000 men. Arabs had previously relied on vast numerical superiority to conquer Western cities and nations, however tactics, strategy and force multipliers won the day despite being outnumbered 4 to 1. Since then, Western forms of waging warfare have removed enemy numbers from the table because of force multipliers that we’ve developed that far exceed anyone with the exception of Russia or China.
Currently in Europe, all the Muslims live in ghettos/banlieue all together, which means they are very geographically concentrated and localized. Given modern forms of weaponry such as artillery and aerial delivered ordinance, they could bomb those places flat and generate casualties at an astonishing rate. Considering that those buildings are shitholes to begin with, they’ll need to be destroyed regardless. Whether they’re occupied or not won’t be a concern once they start clearing Muslims out in earnest.
When Europeans decide to go total war on them, it won’t last long. Especially if the USA helps them. If they try to exercise more restraint about it, it will take longer.

Another question I have is how Islam which dwells generally in the desert areas of the earth which would constitute a general K-selective environment manage to be heavily r-selected.
