The chip industry made me realize that the US (under the Bush Faction) implemented a global policy of Global Security and not National Security. Looking back, this was obvious, they openly said that was ehat they were doing.
Global Security meant in practice that the US woild be de-industrialized and global industry (thus the ability to fight Industrial War) would be de-centralized alalowing no Nation the ability to wage large-scale conflict.
Clearly, the US Expeditionary Military would remain supreme in this context.
The chip industry is an example of this. It is so de-centralized and preposterous that I finally just accepted it was the result of intentional planning. The purpose was to give no single nation the ability to eirher dominate or reach autarky.
I meann, the US with it’s Expeditionary Force and archipelago of bases had de facto ccontrol and total access to anything. But, no one else did.
So, we are currently in between the Bush Era Global Security and entering a National Security era where nations strive for autarky.

Russia has achieved autarky, even for chip production. Incorrect. You can add a (cheap) skimmer to a point of sale system, and unless you know exactly what to look for, it’s nearly invisible. Just a small ‘extra’ bit of plastic trim that most owners or cashiers would never notice.
