Hillary Fears Trump’s Amygdala Manipulations

The scorched-earth playbook employed by Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is stirring alarm among allies of Hillary Clinton, with some fearing the negativity will depress turnout on Election Day.

Some Clinton supporters say they’re concerned that voters are nearly fed up with the constant accusations and name-calling that has defined the campaign.

The more Donald is on the attack, the more he is triggering leftist amygdalae, and making it seem as if they have a real fight on their hands.

This is, in part, why they are trying to push the idea the race is over. Leftists are very much r-strategists who need that easy win, akin to free resources. When the win is easy and there is no resistance, leftists are programmed to get moving and run to victory.

When the fighting is hard, and defeat is likely, they are far more likely to quit and give up, perhaps even moving to another area where the winning will come easy. Projecting that psychological tendency on everyone else is why they feel anyone who worked hard for success must have had it dropped in their lap unfairly – that is the only success they will ever know.

What leftist went gleefully to vote against Reagan, when it became clear he was likely to win reelection easily. By contrast, how did “nice” candidates like McCain, Romney, and Bush 41, who all played by Marquis of Queensbury rules, and went out of their way to not trigger leftists with “nasty” attacks, do in their elections? That is the power of amygdala in the political battle. Amygdala, used properly, demotivates leftists.

Trump needs to play up every poll which shows him up, and make it clear that the silent majority are deplorables who will carry him to victory gleefully. He also needs to trigger leftists at every opportunity, while looking happy, amused, and certain of his own victory. In short, he needs to make the political sphere into a miserable, amygdala-triggering place for leftists, so that rather than see the political world as a great source of little dopamine hits, it becomes something that every time they think about it, it triggers amygdala agony and utter despair.

He seems well on his way.
