But it also changes the genome, enhancing pro-sociality and diminishing the genetic tendencies toward crime:

More and more I see people who could best be described as sub-human. Because society is in a state of r, K-strategists who want to rectify this at the genetic level have to confront that if they take action, they likely will be acting alone, and subject to the legal strictures of the rabbit.
As K takes over, K-strategists begin to realize that if they act, they will probably be acting within the cover of a group. As the law attempts to catch them, their fellow K-strategists may offer them cover. If they are caught, K-strategists on the jury may very well subvert the legal process in the favor of their fellow K-strategist.
If you are this guy and attack a child, the worst you will likely endure today is exposure to our legal system:

According to police, the girl was inside the restaurant with her mother, but the two got separated and the girl went into the restroom.
33-year-old Reese Hartstirn entered the restroom and grabbed her, choking the girl until she passed out, police said
According to a release from the Chicago Police Department, Hartstirn picked up the girl’s limp body and carried her into a stall, then closed the door…
Other people in the deli who found out what happened held Hartstirn until police officers could respond.
Once K takes hold sufficiently, such a character may very well end up doused in gasoline and turned into a flaming, flailing torch in the parking lot, as a crowd of appreciative K-strategists cheer and applaud the show.
The real irony is that we are taught such an environment would be uncivilized. Yet as we force supposed civility, compassion, and empathy on our species, the mean behavior is becoming vastly less civilized, compassionate, and empathetic – and it is certainly a genetic process. No longer is there active selection for civility, compassion, and empathy. So our previously civil, compassionate and empathetic nature is gradually deteriorating.
Sooner or later, when the collapse goes down, that will be rectified and it will be a good thing.

Reading Andrew Branca’s “The Law of Self Defense,” 3rd ed., leaves me wondering what the hell happened to this country (the USA.) The number of ways you can go to jail for simply defending yourself are numerous, and vary in important ways just by passing over the border from one state to another.
It’s astonishing to see how far our feminized culture has gone in following the examples of the UK and Australia, where self-defense all but doesn’t exist in law. We think we’re better, given all the CCW laws in place, but unless you wait to draw until the knife is in your chest or the bullets are already whizzing by your head, there are states where a prosecutor could use your case (and your face) as a stepping stone to higher office. People go to jail for doing things that any one of US would recognize as perfectly reasonable (e.g., being rushed by a guy despite pointing a gun at him, a gun you already fired to just scare his two dogs that were attacking you, informs me that anyone crazy enough to rush the barrel of a gun is an existential threat and merits being shot.)
Today in the USA blacks make fun of white men because the latter restrain their innate masculinity and aggression in the face of insult and even injury, while the former are too stupid to see the consequences and thus end up adding to the prison population. Blacks often cow whites around them, secure in the knowledge that the whites won’t fight (for fear of the legal consequences or fear of being labeled racists and then ostracized and/or disemployed.)
As the “justice” system attempts to equalize racial outcomes (race disparity in crime commission be damned) and otherwise becomes dysfunctional, it’s easy to see that eventually communities will have either chaos or they’ll have to administer justice directly, at the “point of sale.”
It’s ironic r-types are weakened by the group and Ks strengthened, when Ks are stronger alone.
Also explains why the Left throws a fit every time ‘right-wingers’ gather in groups of more than three.
