At the Juncture of Satire and Truth

John Semmens’ semi satirical news rundown at Arizona Conservative had a funny piece, which perfectly explained both, how the rabbits expect everything to be free, and how an r-selected reproductive strategy is prone to see an r-selected world all around it. From Biden Says Everything Ought to Be Free :

“You know how we’ve all heard that the best things in life are free, well, that clearly hasn’t been the case,” Biden observed. “Almost everything people want costs money. And a lot of people just don’t have enough money to fully partake of this nation’s abundance.”

Biden criticized past efforts to try to solve the problem by handing out government benefits to the poor. “No matter how energetic we are there’ll always be some who fall through the cracks,” Biden lamented. “Then there’s the stigma of having to flash an EBT card or cash a welfare check. We have clearly fallen short of our ideals.”

As Biden would have it, “if the government were to abolish prices, if everyone were simply enabled to take as much as they need from wherever they could find it, no one would go without anything merely because he has no money. No one would be embarrassed by coming up short.”

The Veep attributed our nation’s failure to implement an “everything is free” policy to “pure spite. The haves are content to feather their own nests and ignore their moral obligation to be their brothers’ keeper. It’s time we turned this around and held their feet to the fire. Let them work off their debt to society.”

This is exactly how rabbits think. r/K Selection is why.

If everything is free, there won’t be anything to grab. Who will slave 16 hours a day to make widgets, just so some lazyass bum can grab your labor for free. The widget maker will very quickly learn to make one for himself and use the rest of his time to do something else. How simple and obvious is that.

One solution that will stop this idiocy is to take away the vote of anyone who gets support from the government. They would get their vote back when they get off welfare. That will never happen though. There is only one way that this will be resolved. The wolves are going to eat the rabbits.

As the other commenter has pointed out (amazing how many people named “Anonymous” there are – wonder if they are related?) who is going to bother producing more than they need for their own immediate needs? Even Biden, as dimwitted as he is has to see that. Although I am sure he is not referring to his Leftist cronies like Pelosi and Obama, and certainly not to himself. Their “good intentions” are a sufficient contribution.
