We are entering a period where the levers of cognitive control are more scientifically understood and better manipulated. If China hits a period where internal stresses threaten the leaders, don’t be surprised if they make a conscious decision to take the nation to war and thin out their troublesome young single male population. If that happens, don’t be surprised if they manage to do it effortlessly.

Anglo-Saxon culture has a defense mechanism built in. I believe it’s “know thyself”. Think about the effect something, especially information, has on you. In these times it is better to be rational rather than emotional.
