Donald Could Rise Much Higher

Watching all the GOPe stumble over themselves to criticize Donald’s statements on McCain, I couldn’t help but think, Donald has all the right enemies. Cruz, wisely was silent on the matter.

Over at the Conservative Treehouse, they had a very interesting insight:

In almost every poll, Trump is winning the overall GOP race despite half of the poll sample not believing he is really serious about his presidential bid.

Pause for a moment and think carefully about what that means.

Example: If a polling sample is 1,000 people. Approximately 500 people don’t believe Trump is really in it to win it. Ergo he’s polling current victory numbers with only half the consideration available to all other candidates – AND YET HE’S STILL WINNING.

Long term – what do you think will happen when more and more people begin to accept that Donald Trump is actually sticking out this race to win the nomination?

The thing with Trump is, he isn’t a politician. When he stands on stage with a bunch of politicians, and says something controversial, the perception most people will have is that he says what is on his mind. Compared to a politician, that apparent transparency can be enormously refreshing, and combined with his money and his ability to get his message out, it will lift his campaign over the long term. Add in an aggressive attack on a system more and more people are seeing as a corrupt oligarchy, and support for K-selected virtues like loyalty to in-group, competitiveness, and aggressiveness, and anything is possible.
