Extreme Body Modification Moves To Amputation

Probably related to the transgender phenomenon:

Forget extreme plastic surgery, tattoos and piercings – a minority are taking body modification to the next level – by voluntarily cutting off their own limbs.

A body modifier has exclusively revealed how his “extra” limbs feel alien, and has resorted to the drastic measure of self-mutilation – because he actually want to be disabled.

Dr. Michael First, a professor of psychiatry at Columbia University, has led investigations into this bizarre and extremely rare psychiatric condition which he is calling body integrity identity disorder (BIID).

Also known as amputee identity disorder, it gives people a fierce desire to rid themselves of perfectly healthy limbs.

Again, it is amazing, but too much ease and safety actually produce even more pain than the competitive, aggressive, occasionally violent environment we evolved to operate within.

I suspect the amygdala evolved to produce a low level aversive stimulus whenever it is not distracted, or engaged elsewhere. It is probably like a sort of default negativity, which the brain notices if there isn’t anything else going on to distract it. We often call this boredom, and know it feels bad, though the exact mechanism never dawns on us. Evolutionarily, it probably drives us to action and keeps us moving, and prevents the wasting of opportunities in a world where wasted opportunities could have killed us.

Interestingly if you remove amygdala-distractions enough, it would appear this baseline angst can refocus itself on all sorts of strange things, producing pathology. Here, these people gradually adapted their amygdalae to be triggered by perceptions of their own limbs. And once trained, the amygdala haunts them, which they conclude can only be fixed by removing the focus on the amygdala-angst – their limbs. Of course as with the trannies, that will only lead their bored amygdala to refocus itself on something else, and the cycle will repeat.

Notice how if these people were constantly being chased by tigers and narrowly escaping as they brought food home to their families, the last thing they would be thinking about as they sat in front of a fire watching their wife tend to their now-well-fed children, would be how much they wished they could amputate their legs. That is the life they evolved for, and it is what their brain is designed to operate within.

All of us encounter stuff that is miserable at some point in our lives. We see things we wish we didn’t have to look at, encounter threats and adversities that are horrifying in the moment, and have to do things we wish we could avoid. When you encounter these things, focus on the sensations they provide, no matter how bad, and tell yourself you are programming your brain to be happier in the future. Embrace the amygdala burn, and you will increase your adversity tolerance in the moment, and end up happier in the end.

The human machine is not just the human machine. It is integral with its environment. And because of that, analyzing the environment’s molding effect is as important as examining the brain’s operation, when it comes to understanding the system. Both are integrally interrelated with each other.

Our brains are designed to receive specific programming cues from a specific environment, which evolution has us for. Put us in an environment we are not designed for, and let those programming cues be absent or atypical and that will alter brain development and function. And once the brain becomes misprogrammed, things can rapidly go off the rails.

If you try to examine a case of cognitive dysfunction solely by looking at the individual, you will never see the whole picture. The human brain, and the environmental inputs which mold it are the Yin and Yang of consciousness. You need to grasp them both.

Tell others about r/K Theory, because it is good brain programming.

I suffer from a Disability(brain damage) so my left arm is mostly useless. In my youth I decided I wanted rid of it. Luckily someone explained phantom limb pain, and the realities of how much worse my situation would be. I wonder if people don’t always think these things through. I wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t listened and found a way to ‘accidentally’ damage or disconnect my hand or even arm.

I have always found it interesting discussing piercings and tattoos with people. Infection risk, how it will look in time never persuade people that it may not be wise. Most recently I have come to think there may be something demonic in these a mark of belonging as it were.

My wife decided that for our daughter to be more feminine she would get her ears pierced so I said fine, do yours first. We have not discussed this since. Most of her friends ears were pierced at 3 to 5 age. The world where I am seems r but there is an underlying violence so I can’t tell.

Acupuncture, I have not tried, I have tried many things. One of the most interesting was immobilising the good side to increase frustration to the extent that the brain rewires itself to make alternative pathways. Unfortunately a portion of my right hemisphere was damaged. Brain plasticity is an interesting concept bit reduces with age. After thirty odd years I see no prospective of a cure in this life.

Revelation 9:6 “6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.”

I speculate that, in that time, those who have fully engaged in the “transspecies” movement that will find their AI controlled cyborg bodies will not let them die.

Interesting thing about demon possession as described in the Bible: some of those who suffer possession tend to harm their own bodies; throwing themselves into fire, or cutting themselves with sharp stones, or (in the case of 2,000 pigs) hurling themselves into the sea.

This isn’t unlike the gender change trend.

Also, I think a person’s capacity for boredom could be a sign of disorder, generally-speaking. There are those who don’t consider boredom to be possible, and then there are those who are “bored” from the moment they get up in the morning.

One stage is always worse and more severe than the next::
-Ear piercing
-Tattooing
-Body piercings (belly button, tongue, nose, etc -ahem.)
-African-like ear lobe mutilation/stretching
-Full body tattooing
-(Branding… via nxivm)
-Sex “changing” via drugs
-Cutting off of body parts (culmination of the sex changing above or disorder)
WTH will be next?

And maybe I even forgot to list some.

The progression of all this that i have witnessed over the years and seen reported on (and passed off as “normal”) is the beyond creepy and sick.

Sorry – I meant to say above that with each stage, the mutilation gets bigger and more severe. There obviously needs to be a bigger shock factor.

I agree, Cinderella. It’s a sliding thing where it just gets more extreme. I also think frequent changes to hair color/style might be situated between earlobe piercing and tattooing. Cosmetic surgery, too. The lengths some will go with their plastic surgery goals is very disturbing.
