Media Complains Trump Doesn’t Spend Time On Empathy

As r-strategists, the media are different animals:

This afternoon, CNN senior White House correspondent Jeff Zeleny remarked that in his reaction to the historic storm so far, POTUS appears to be more focused on the emergency response, businesses and his crowds as opposed to the victims themselves.

Reporting from Austin, where the president was scheduled to arrive at the state’s emergency command center, Zeleny provided the following observation to CNN anchor Brianna Keilar:

“One thing I am struck by here, seeing all the stories of emotion, all the stories of loss, of devastation still unfolding — we do not know the extent of the damage here — very little in terms of empathy from this president. Very little in terms of emotion or talking directly to the people of Texas.

Others in the media try to create the same idea, because as rabbits, they think it is a viable method of attack:

Every president, going back to George H. W. Bush, has had to handle a natural disaster during his term.

For the aforementioned Bush, it was Hurricane Andrew. For his son, President George W. Bush, it was Hurricane Katrina. Bill Clinton faced the devastation of deadly tornadoes in Oklahoma, and Barack Obama experienced Superstorm Sandy.

One thing all these leaders had in common was their response to the victims — from reassuring messages of hope to comforting hugs.

Focus on the victims of Hurricane Harvey, according to the Washington Post, was missing from President Donald Trump’s visit to Texas on Tuesday.

As Breitbart points out, K-strategists have different desires in times of difficulty:

I cannot think of a better rebuttal to all of this metrosexual nonsense than this heroic woman‘s response to CNN’s oh-so empathetic questioning:

“Like people are really breaking down, and you are all sitting here with cameras and microphones trying to ask us what the fuck is wrong with us. And you really trying to understand with the microphone still in my face with me shivering cold, with my kids wet and you are still putting a microphone in my face.”

That woman is not looking for empathy, she is looking for some help — right now — in solving her immediate problems. And Trump is showing his empathy through action, by doing everything in his power to solve those immediate problems.

r-strategists want to use a disaster to generate social status through empathy-acquisition, because in r-selection all that matters is status – survival is not a variable. Everyone survives in r-selection, so the only variable affecting mating success is status. I’m sure the reporter was genuinely confused when she gave the woman an option to status-whore and seek empathy, and the woman didn’t want it.

K-strategists don’t care about empathy, because status is immaterial to a K-strategist. In K-selection all that matters is survival and success. Case in point, was this levee which was about to be breached, and was discussed on Free Republic:

Officials in Brazoria County, Texas, south of Houston, are warning that Columbia Lakes levee has breached. All residents have been urged to evacuate.

Officials posted on the county Facebook page that, “The levee at Columbia Lakes has been breached. Get out now.”

You didn’t see it on the news, because of this:

Yes… it was a real story… but, it ended pretty quickly. THIS happened…:

I was driving to Frankfort today, and was listening to FoxNews. They sent a reporter to Columbia Lakes to check out the “levee breech”. Instead of finding a bunch of fleeing people, they found a bunch of locals with backhoes, bags of sand and bricks… with poles, planks and guts. They had “repaired the breech”. The reporter asked if this make-shift repair would hold. His answer?

“Yessir. We’ve made it strong. We got 500 homes in this neighborhood. There not going to flood. Not on my watch!”

Now picture how the welfarites in Katrina would have handled that if that was their neighborhood. It would have been a stampede, and an empathy-whoring-fest seeking free handouts.

These are fundamentally different psychologies, focused on very different things in the environment around them. The rabbits never even consider survival. Everything they are focused on is related to elevating their status, either through flash and flamboyant resource expenditure, or, if necessary, through victim status and empathy.

K-strategists have one focus, and that is achievement of objectives and survival. To K-strategists, President Trump rolling in, promising the aid they need to succeed, and making a few short statements about how they are going to kick ass, is exactly what the K-strategists of Texas needed.

It might pay for his advisors to make note however, that if the same event happened in an r-strategist area, he would be well advised to come in and highlight all the victims are enduring, and how everyone should feel sorry for them, just as he does – tremendously. Then he needs to do a Clinton lip-bite. Just because rabbits are pathetic doesn’t mean an understanding of them can’t be of practical use.

Tell others about r/K Theory, because the spread of r/K Theory is a success

Wolves show empathy through deeds, not words.

Personally, I think this “no empathy” thing is an attempt to manipulate Trump on DACA. They want him to feel he needs to show empathy with the Dreamer issue coming up.

How’s this for empathy: President Trump pledges $1 million of his own money to Harvey relief.

Action is empathy. Warm words with no action is just attention whoring.

YES! I was thinking about this situation from a r/K perspective the other day:

Narcissists basically love to gorge on narcissistic supply and status elevation, they are the biggest status-whores around (that’s why they tear other people down and seek to take credit from other peoples work). And when you have a social group and a socially competent narcissist leads the group (as they tend to when they find a group of weak minded people susceptible to their games, or they find themselves in a professional position of power were their hierarchical inferiors have to kiss their ass), they they’ll pro-actively tear down and sabotage anyone who might contribute greatly to the group results, in order to remain the most relevant person in the group. It doesn’t matter if the whole group (including the status-whore narcissist) would directly benefit from someone in their group getting great results, THEY SIMPLY CANNOT HAVE IT, they can’t take it that someone can achieve more or have better ideas or better execution than them.

And that puzzled me, because, why in the hell would you not want to benefit from someone’s success? I intuitively knew it was related to down-right status anxiety, but I couldn’t articulate it, but reading this article, THIS IS EXACTLY IT! The r-selective status whores will cut down on all tall poppies around them even if that means that when K-selection comes around they’ll be surrounded by mediocre and shitty people, with way less chances of survival. It might seem insane if one lacks the insight that comes from being aware of the r/K selection perspective, but it explains it pretty well. They just can’t help it, they’ll tear down anyone better than them, THEY HAVE TO BECAUSE ITS DEEP ROOTED IN THEIR BIOLOGY TO DO SO!

With life experience one learns that a r-selective treasonous individual always remains so, no matter what it appears (they always try to sweet talk you into trusting you again, so the only sane response is to go no contact on them, totally cut them off), but being able to articulate why it is so from the perspective of r/K selection is a powerful tool to explain it to others who might be still too naive or ignorant of human nature in those regards.

Thanks for the article, have a great day!

Empathy is not a force of nature.
