When apprising clients it was pulling the photo, AP does not call it a retraction, or removal, but rather it issues a “Kill Notification,” which you have to wonder if it is comms of some sort:

Families are noticing people following them around in stores and malls, and in the case of the Gab post, videotaping them, and are naturally assuming “child abduction”. But it seems to be the normal ground surveillance activities people here have noticed.

But it is remarkable that they published it at all, then killed it, given the mundane subject.

Obvious fake is obvious. Best they could afford? Ridiculous. Get some decent photo retouchers onboard or at least a guy who knows how to fix an AI generation.
The strange part about all of this is Kate’s disappearance from public view. All the other members of the British royal family, apart from her husband and children, are elderly and you would expect periods where they need a break from public appearances. She is in her early 40s and has been gone for three months.
The lack of a wedding ring is to distract from the possibility it may be Kate’s face photoshopped onto another woman. If so we have to ask, why would they do that?

All traditional Real Americans will find themselves in prisons or camps were all may be subjected to rape and murder.
It is a final solution to the American problem.

Having lamentably come very late in life to The Virginian by Wister, I am not surprised. Compare it to over-rated The Great Gatsby, written a couple decades later (pre and post 1913?), and it is understandable why this book (not the movies or tv series) is not well known. Who needs integrity?
IMO, one of the best American novels, and worthy of global recognition. The book is a perfect expression of what is desirable in 2024.

The audience for this interview would be those who are interested in metabolic health.
However:
At 16:00, Dr. Lustig essentially says, I want to talk about something else. That something else is his work with a French colleague who is a neuroscientist who works in robotics. He and the French prof have discovered that there 4 “brakes” in the amygdala that are not functioning correctly. All four are failing at the same time. And it is a widespread phenomenon.
He discusses these brakes and concludes: “All four brakes are failing at the same time. The amygdala is running hog wild.”
Roughly, he says finishing up brake #4: “So you can’t get the feeling of safety. You are under constant and chronic threat and that is the fourth brake on the amygdala. People complaining about not feeling safe.”
The two are MDs and the conversation drifts back to health items after a with interspersed discussions of the mechanism of action as analyzed by Dr. Lustig: Stress. Cortisol. Ultra processed food and so on. Anyone familiar with Dr. Lustig’s work will recognize the list.
He sees this failure of the brakes on the amygdala and examines the failure in terms of medical outcomes and the behavior of related institutions. I suspect readers here might think about these brakes in terms outside of food.
I have finished 36 minutes of 1 hour and 54 minutes and have to go out now. Not sure if they return to the implications of a world where the amygdala of the population is going “hog wild.”

Musk could really do his business good by throwing say 50 million or so at Trump. He’s being held back by all sorts of government agencies. Likely even at 50 million it would be cost effective as he is burning money from regulatory delays. Without them, he likely would have launched 4 or 5 times by now. Let’s hope for a March 14 good launch. They’ve added more test. Try to soft land the first stage in the Indian Ocean, open the bay doors in space and do in orbit refueling test.
