One of them did a quick search and found me on linked-in and now knows the town I reside in and threatened to hang me. Anyone that tries this will of course be shot, but the point is made that you don’t even have to actually disagree with some people before they escalate things, and unlike Rittenhouse, I won’t have anybody to sue for damages if my life is interrupted in this fashion.
I didn’t think this would affect readers, but I probably should have said something anyway. There is a group who appear to be composed of a bunch of workers for Disney who are harassing a bunch of blogs, mostly Big Country Expat, Feral Irishman, Busted Knuckles, and a bunch of others. I think one of them has focused attention here, as shortly after mentioning Big Country, I began getting notifications from SnapChat asking me to confirm the email I just used to create an account there, each with names like KillMAGA452022, and KillBiden230. After each notification I would get another saying something about violating their spamming policy by sending too many messages to too many people, and then after that I would get messages saying my account was terminated for violating their terms of service, I assume by threatening to kill the President or something. Then it would repeat. I wrote to Snapchat to complain each time, and leave a record and account of events for Secret Service, but I have no idea if the perpetrator used a VPN and maybe Secret Service has no idea if it was me or not. I assume they would send in surveillance regardless, but I will give them credit for politeness, as I have yet to see it if they have.
The point is, fucking with Secret Service is crazy, bordering on suicidal. If this person will do this, they will probably also have no problem trying to escalate in other ways. There is another blog with even more criminal activity directed at it which has been taken to a local prosecutor, so this group is unpredictable. I didn’t think it would target commenters here, but apparently they have the free time to just chase down any thread, and so little to do in real life that fucking with other random people is a good use of time for them.
For this reason I encourage commenters to take advantage of the anonymity we offer. You don’t need to provide an email, or even a name to post a comment. Please do not use your own name, or provide any identifying information. Plus, it is possible that the way things are going, what Lowell encountered may be the least reason you will not want an official record of your conservatism online. And as always, I can delete posting histories if you wish to wipe footprints you already left, in the event you want your history sanitized.
That said, it dawns on me there is another possibility. All the blogs getting harassed strike me as independent thinkers, building sizable audiences. Lowell is an independent voice on twitter building his own following, and I suspect he is on the list of people to whom doors are shut unless he is serving them. And there is the current drama with Tim Pool, who is routinely getting Swatted and having bomb scares. It is possible these are organized efforts to erode our effectiveness and the audiences we need to spread the stories we are promoting. This may be a new phase in our online information wars, targeting the outlets which have proven more difficult to deplatform. Regardless, exercise due caution.

To be fair its a valid question. DIE ideology is legitimately extremely toxic and bullshit. Its a false reality, and my book and cognitive differences between the sexes was specifically meant to counter one particular aspect of it with feminism. But Blacks being so great is another problem, because as a group they do have a lot of issues and a lower average IQ, and a lack of historical and current technological development. DO NOT send do not post comments. I have yet to figure out why one poster was seeing another posters unapproved comments. I tried disconnecting other plugins, but can’t guarantee that will not happen again.
I can look back by IP and I can alter messages to delete emails, delete such comments entirely, and if deleted, the downstream replies will not show, I think, but I haven’t done it so I can’t say for sure. I don’t mind going comment by comment for that. It would be best for searching though if I knew the email, though to do that you have to get it to me.

The LCSs have been an ongoing financial disaster, plus they didn’t meet specs, and now there are serious questions about their survivability in combat.
Besides, the Navy needs that money for “saving the environment” and “racial equity”, at least from what I gathered looking at their web site before it turned into some kind of phone-app-looking mess a while back.

Yep, they can do that… they did it over Iraq in Desert Storm, too. The American GPS system was originally developed by and for the US military.
However, as users worldwide found it to be useful, their governments disliked being dependent on solely American system, and many developed their own. The Russians have their own GLONASS system, the Chinese have BeiDou, and the European Union has Galileo. India and Japan are working on their own systems.
Turning off American GPS over Russia might inconvenience a bunch of smartphone users and people using cheap import GPS receivers, but it’s not going to bother the Russian military one bit. And the part of the Russian military they want to mess with is in Ukraine, so turning it off over Ukraine would probably discommode the Ukrainians far more than the Russians.
But the brainiacs who came up with the idea probably didn’t consider that…

The “little crappy ships” were a Bush era Lockheed Martin scam. With an aluminum (and not steel) superstructure they would simply melt if hit with any kind of missile (like a Kinzhal or Kalibr) which would be likely- as they lack the deck space for a full suite of defensive weapons typically found in larger warships. Their engines are small and overly complex as well, frequently breaking. They are a net drain on the fleet, as they are low asset ships that must be protected by larger ones and frequently require a tugboat to accompany them, slowing down a fleet. Even more amazing is that they were constructed at all, especially after the lessons of the USS Stark and USS Cole.

LCS was always crap. I was an engineer with the Navy for a couple years a while back. I overheard one engineer ask another if he could cover for a ride on one of the LCS ships. He said “It’s easy. Just show up early, the ship gets underway, it breaks down in the channel and gets towed back, then you’re off the rest of the day.” None of them were in commission at the time.
It was also during a phase when the Navy didn’t have the balls to tell a contractor they didn’t get the contract, so basically anybody who submitted a bid was given a part of the final contract. It was the Navy’s version of a participation trophy. You can see how well it worked…
I am dismayed Ukraine volunteer naivety. From what is seen, they are as excited little boys excited going to a party. That alone demonstrates they have little to no training & experience. I doubt many speak the language, and would be useless beyond being pointed in a certain direction.
