News Briefs – 03/21/2024

Here are some news stories that might be of interest. Most articles will be more or less summarized in the headline. You can skim the headlines and summaries, and click the links if they are of interest. Keep in mind, many of these reports are products of an unreliable news media, so although they will be what people are hearing and talking about, there is no guarantee any one of them is necessarily correct, and we have had cases of outright lies make it onto these pages.

We have an advertiser, The Daily Financial Trends – a financial news aggregator designed to deliver the data other financial sites deliver, but in a fraction of the time. Give them a click and see if you prefer getting your financial news there.

It needs to be done anyway.
It’s time to throw the rule book out and bring it back later.

Yeah, just like the Germans in WWII, who kept building ever-larger, heavier tanks and sending them east, even after the previous ones sank in the mud in the Ukraine.

I bet the problems of armor in the Ukraine are still the same as they were in 1945.

TRX’s point is valid.

Germans over-engineered their solutions.

  • Me262 was superior to Mustangs.
  • King Tiger was superior to T-34

Superior over-engineered solutions out numbered by cheaper requiring less maintenance.

History repeating…National Socialist Germany had over-engineered, expensive solutions, and little resources. Soviet Union had simple, cheap solutions and vast resources.

Quantity has a quality all its own.
Germany, and now NATO have forgotten that, in NATO’s case it is on purpose because bleeding edge quality makes more money for the MIC than the best compromise between good enough and quantity.

Germany had resources, but their National Socialist centrally planned economy deprived them of the resources they had.
They also simply lacked oil or sufficient access to foreign oil and that alone made their chances of winning slim to none.
It’s why they went for the overengineered hyper quality route, they wanted to do more with less tanks and planes etc.

Thanks in great part to the backing of American traitors.*
However, Engineering itself is too often the intense study of how to make things Whittier than ever and avoid the consequences. Combined with manufacturing and marketing, isn’t it all just a huge catch-22? If not for planned obsolescence, we’d be in big trouble.
.
Would you rather have fine things or trash. Not much of a debate, when you don’t really need most of that junk and it’s actually harmful to you.
.* American traitors: since communism was a deathly problem before National Socialism. The shirking of dealing with communism and its (((cause))) while jumping up and down about Germany was what else than treason? Especially with the State Department loaded with way more communists than McCarthy ever dreamed of.

Donald Trump may not pay bond — and instead let Letitia James seize Trump Tower, with the idea he will seize it back after the appeal.

Not a bad plan. The chances that she can sell it, even in an auction, are roughly zero. To make that kind of sell, you need an expert like, well, Donald Trump.

If the Constitution is just a piece of paper they feel free to subvert, then so are the citizenship papers of these “locals.” Their own precedent shall be their downfall.

> deported

Optimistic take. I imagine most of these foreign invaders will only be leaving America via 6ft hole; the logistics of peacefully relocating 30+ million hostile invaders isn’t going to be sunshine and friendship.

The saying is: Man proposes, God disposes.

Seems the opposite is true. Each man has his own disposition, chooses what to believe, and acts accordingly. Faith precedes everything.

That is how we end up with so much sadistic behavior and evil.

Evil is obviously allowed to exist by God. The only explanation that squares that logic is that this life is a test, and we’re given free will to see which path we choose. That underscores the importance of choosing to be good and moral over evil.

We chose Free Will, and Free Will requires the existence of Evil.

Adam and Eve had free will, they couldn’t have eaten the fruit without it.
What they chose was disobedience, and that opened the door for evil to enter as an actuality instead of just a possibility.

Farcesensitive is right. The image of God is, in large part, referring to free will. The Bible also makes it obvious that angels also have free will, to what extent I don’t know, as can be seen by the fallen angels. The mystery is, what element of the image of God were humans bestowed that some will be able to judge the angels?

Meet the AbramsX: The Army’s new tank which might be a giant waste of money.

The concept is a lot of moves in the right direction. Lighter, get rid of the zippo gas guzzling engine. Design the thing for the right gun from the start (instead of cramming a 120mm in a tank built for a 105mm.) Not a fan of all the shit they stacked on it like a lady’s church hat. Smaller crew implies that they are dropping the loader for an autoloader. I would have decried that 10 years ago, but with our feeble recruits now, it is much less of a trade-off.
Of course, it will be designed and built by DEI, so regardless of the concept, it will be a piece of shit that falls apart driving it off the train from the factory.

Farcesensitive
Reply to  phelps

The main issue that needs fixing is to make a design that can be easily mass produced at much lower cost.
It only needs to protect itself from everything below weapons capable of destroying tanks because it won’t be able to protect against modern antitank weapons.
Cheaper, lighter, and mass producible is the future.

Boeing is a converged globalist DEI clusterf*ck. HOWEVER…if you recall all the railroad derailments/incidents a little while ago – the pattern is similar.
I read a logistics trade rag that outlined the actual year over year numbers for rail “incidents”. IIRC it was only slightly elevated, not suddenly skyrocketing. ~15% YOY. But the incidents were reported/magnified in both the MSM and alt media.
I have to assume the same machinators are behind the Boeing reported incidents. I don’t know the goal, or if it’s white hats or black, but I see the pattern. Food production facilities were first. Next could be bridges or power plants, maybe cloud providers.
There’s a larger strategy at work but as usual we’re not privy to it.

It’s all related… Factories having safety issues, recalls, and explosions all could be intentional or could be incompetence… Train derails, etc same… Now planes are having the same mixed bag of issues AND a “suicided” whistleblower.
If it was just increasing incompetence due to DEI, it would all make sense. The offing of a whistleblower is signs of more, BUT for the fact that he was essentially calling them out for DEI related safety issues, as they got rid of good workers and replaced with bad ones, he ratted them out. So it’s entirely possible the DEI exposure got him killed too.
The marching morons will be the death of us all.
