Paddock’s Father Only Served One Year?

I saw a linkback from this page on the Unhivedmind, and saw they had dug up this tidbit about his father:

What was his father’s exact story?

Their father, Benjamin Paddock, was on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted list in the 1970s for robbing banks and was described as psychopathic in an arrest warrant.

According to the warrant, the suspect’s father carried a firearm and was considered “armed and dangerous.” It listed his nicknames as “Big Daddy,” “Chromedome” and “Old Baldy.”

In 1960, The Arizona Republic described Benjamin Paddock as a three-time bank robber who was accused of stealing about $25,000. He was arrested in Las Vegas and “indicted on three counts of robbing Phoenix branches of the Valley National Bank,” an archived article said.

The elder Paddock was sentenced to prison in Texas for the robberies.

But six months after his sentencing, he escaped and robbed a bank in San Francisco before being recaptured in Oregon, The Eugene Register-Guard reported in 1978. He had lived in Oregon for several years, evading capture by changing his name and appearance until his arrest, according to the paper.

So, to summarize, a guy with a long criminal history, robbed three banks, was sentenced to 20 years in jail, escaped after six months, robbed another bank, tried to run over a police officer in the course of his escape, went to Oregon, ran illegal gambling and odometer-rollback schemes there, got caught, was brought back to Texas, and not only wasn’t charged in the San Francisco bank robbery or the escape, they dropped some of the other charges against him – in Texas – and he was out in one year. That seems unusual.

The weirdness on this one will not stop. It is possible that as the Apocalypse kicks into gear, and all the Darwinian misfits who have only eluded natural selection due to free resources begin popping off, we may see a lot more of this. These rejects may all have bizarre pedigrees as part of their background.

But this one does look interesting.

Spread r/K Theory, because the weirdness will not stop
