r-selection and the War on Masculinity

A gay guy demands that we end masculinity:

Guardian columnist Zach Stafford, a self-described gay man, says that since masculinity has been “central” to “centuries of war, pillaging, and violence”, the very concept of manhood in modern society should be eliminated… “It’s time to do away with the concept of manhood altogether.”

Stafford quotes Stony Brook University sociologist Michael Kimmel who says, “violence is often the single most evident marker of manhood…. It is the willingness to fight, the desire to fight.”

The power of r/K is not that it explains everything, from why a gay guy would advocate this, to why he will vote for Hillary, to why this only crops up this badly when societies are at the apex of their wealth. The power of r/K is that liberals hate it, and yet it repeatedly explains everything. Once exposed to it, everywhere the liberal looks is another example of how this idea they can’t even think about predicts everything. This one idea can turn the entire world into a never-ending amygdala hijack for the liberal, constantly reminding them of the concept that they hate so viscerally.

Here is an effete guy whose sexual preferences run to the manly. He derides manly men, and yet will have no problem with manly feminists taking the reins and showing the same aggression which he derides in men. He will not think it is the least unusual if those manly women live a life spent sleeping with a succession of different alpha males, and then raise the children as a single mother. He will think it is normal to give those kids graphic sexual education beginning as young children.

Once you know r/K, suddenly effete liberal rabbit men who avoid conflict and manly rabbit women who are designed to defend and provision their single mom’d offspring alone, all make sense. Even early, graphic sex-ed fits into the rabbit’s r/K-box.

Most ominously such individuals will have a general drive to betray their own in-group to satisfy the interests of any aggressive out-group that poses a threat to it. This drive will even extend to a strange motivation to denigrate their own in-group and rebel at any attempt to extol its virtues:

The Daily Tarheel, the University of North Carolina’s newspaper, declared yesterday that calling America “great” is actually racist…According to the paper, “this is problematic because it implies that over two centuries of systemic racism and imperialism are “great.”

It is no mystery where this leads.

It’s not surprising that a University newspaper would reduce all of US history to “racism”. Why do you think academia is dominated by leftists AC?

‘“violence is often the single most evident marker of manhood…. It is the willingness to fight, the desire to fight.” ‘
Why thank you for noticing that Manhood involves being violent. But like any tool – say fire- it is a question of how it is used. For the group? or against the group?
Being willing to Do violence on the behalf of other so they might sleep safely in their bed at night* is a mark of virtue (vir latin for man hrmm.)
A dog can be violent killing predators and protecting the sheep (or chickens?) or it can go feral and attack the flock or coup.

* Original quote for George Orwell is “We sleep safe in our beds at night because men are willing to do violence on our behalf” – it is understood he is talking of those like the military who protect us.

You do realize that gay conservatives do exist, right? I hated everything that was written in that article. The LGBT collation is running on fumes now. These SJWs are now saying that gay men are now “privileged” now. More and more gay men want nothing to do with the LGBT. If it were up to me, I would take the G out.
