Bernie Sanders Attacks NRA

I saw this:

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in an interview on Sunday blamed the National Rifle Association (NRA) for the lack of action in Congress on gun control legislation.

Sanders told host Chuck Todd on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that it’s “unspeakable” that students are no longer surprised by school shootings.

“It’s a three-letter word. It’s the NRA,” Sanders said. “And it’s Trump and the Republicans who don’t have the guts to stand up to these people and that’s pretty pathetic.”

Bernie was assiduously neutral on the gun issue, and enjoyed his previously semi-pro-gun position accrued during his time representing Vermont. That was the wisest move for him as a potential candidate in the general election. I would have thought this meant he was going to not run, but now I see this:

The campaign manager for Bernie Sanders in his 2016 presidential run hinted that the Independent senator from Vermont may run for the White House again in 2020.

Sanders is “considering another run for the presidency,” but for now is completely focused on his congressional re-election campaign in November, Jeff Weavers said in an interview with C-Span host John McArdle on Monday.

He has the problem that all democrats have. The democrat base is so radicalized that their candidates have to stake out ever more unpopular, radical leftist positions in the primary to have any chance. Obviously, that is not good for them in the general.

This is the divergence that precedes the shift to K-selection. Rabbits respond to increasing indicators of K with a panicked search for ever more rabbitry to shield them from the impending K-selection. At the same time, the majority of K’s begin to go more K to meet the approaching change in conditions. It is very good for Trump’s 2020 campaign, and not so good for the left.

It is also excellent for r/K Theory. Trump’s best bet against Hillary was to let the public focus on her noxious, nasty odiousness. Introducing r/K would have only distracted from the most damaging aspect of the Democratic campaign – Hillary herself.

But Bernie is a kind of grandfatherly, unthreatening, harmless face of socialism, mixed with an amusing Larry-David-esque personae. He is more difficult to demonize to the mushy brained plebes than Hillary was. But he is also an almost perfect human representation of a rabbit. From his shoulder hunch, to his nose, cheeks, and upper lip, he looks like he was made to nibble on carrots. The only thing about him that is not rabbity is his lack of big rabbit ears.

I do not see how Bernie could be the candidate, and r/k Theory would not go global overnight based solely on the rabbit meme. It will make him a joke, poison the well against leftism, and cause a plethora of younger Americans begin to see associations with political ideology as a choice between self identification with selfish, hedonistic rabbits, or noble, loyal wolves.

And by that time, I expect we will have more than laid a sufficient foundation to spread that meme far and wide all at once.

Please God, make it Bernie.

Tell others about r/K Theory, because Bernie looks like a rabbit

I think they’re going to nominate Kamela Harris. California is changing the date of their primary election, and I *think* she’s the reason for that. She’d be even better (for our purposes) as their nominee than the Bern.

The crazy ol’ commie would be an easy mark. Trump would just hang him up like a heavy bag and work out on him all day long — but he’s got no chance to get the nomination. POCs will ensure that no white male gets the Democratic nomination ever again.
