Police have issued a safety video advising the public how to respond in the event of a firearms of weapons attack.
The UK’s current national threat level is “severe”, meaning an attack is highly likely. The video has been made to inform the public of how they can protect themselves against attacks – terrorist related or otherwise – if the need arises.
Stay Safe: Firearms and Weapons Attack sets out three key points of advice: that if you are caught up in an incident to you must “run”, “hide” and tell”.
Left unclear is whether as you run you should yell, “I’m telling! I’m telling!”
