Ice Age Cometh, And Bringeth Apocalypse?

It very likely might be:

Make the most of this summer because it could be your last decent one: winter is coming as the planet enters the most devastating cooling period since the 65-year Maunder Minimum of the 17th and early 18th centuries.

This is the dire forecast of Professor Valentina Zharkova, a solar physicist at Northumbria University, who has based her prediction on sun spot activity – known to be a significant driver of global climate – which is currently very low and likely to get even lower during the next three solar cycles.

The problem will not just be the cold. It will be changes in precipitation patterns. If the areas that are presently fertile see not just a change in temperature, but a change in precipitation, that will change everything. The places where farmers grow food now were chosen because they have been the most fertile historically. Change where food will grow best, and farmers will hope the change is temporary, and keep trying, season to season, expecting the “bad luck” to change next season.

In no time, you could have four or five seasons of massively reduced crop yields. And all along leftists will be denying it could possibly be due to global cooling, and that warming is just around the corner. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the left have the government force farmers to stay put, because if they did move and warming started, in the leftist’s mind, it would be “catastrophic.”

Whether it triggers the collapse, or just becomes one more factor adding to the chaos and violence, the result will be the same – pure, K-selected Apocalypse.

I have always sensed, in my bones, that we would endure another Little Ice Age within my lifetime.

There is a lot of discussion on how warming will effect crop growth. There is almost not talk at a higher level of how cold will effect it.

And in the West 98% of us have outsourced our most critical need (food production) to someone else. We are so separated from how it is made we are utterly clueless.
