Microsoft’s New AI Bot Creates Artificial False Reality

I read this, and am blown away:

Microsoft is trying to avoid another PR disaster with its new AI bot.

The company’s latest program can describe what it “sees” in photos.

“CaptionBot,” as it’s called, does a pretty decent job at describing simple everyday scenes, such as a person sitting on a couch, a cat lounging around, or a busy restaurant. But it seems to be programmed to ignore pictures of Nazi symbolism or its leader.

CNNMoney gave CaptionBot several photos of Adolf Hitler and variations of the swastika to analyze, and it often came back with “I really can’t describe the picture” and a confused emoji. It did, however, identify other Nazi leaders like Joseph Mengele and Joseph Goebbels.

The driving force behind this robot’s cognitive architecture is the mental malady afflicting liberals – the overly-triggerable amygdala. How does it manifest?

It produces a robot which denies and blocks out realities the liberal can’t tolerate exposure to.

Ask a liberal to consider crime rates among third world immigrants, and you get the exact same response. Ask them to consider the consequences of limitless debt spending. Ask them to consider anything which they find cognitively painful, and their brain will block out the reality, before going on to do whatever feels best. Now they are making their AI do the exact same thing.

Just amazing.

They had to severely retard their AI, so that it would not engage in wrongthink. The symbolism is rich.
