The modern filibuster is unconstitutional and corrupt.
The Constitution requires a majority vote for legislation to pass, the modern filibuster alters that requirement to demand 60 votes and it does so not only without a Constitutional amendment but not even with legislation passed by both houses and signed by the president.
The purpose of this corrupt tactic is to ensure that “bipartisanshiip” aka corruption is required to pass any bill through Congress and that corruption will always get through while reforms never will.
Being a pragmatist I have no intention to try and eliminate the modern filibuster while the communists are in control, let them work for it if they want at least it does limit some of their abuses, but if we ever get a MAGA majority in the Senate it needs to go, if a Senator wants to filibuster let them do the work like Mr. Smith goes to Washington. Excellent camera footage, keep using that camera. Audio quality was great too.
I enjoyed the single cut of the video. I didn’t pick up on nervous so much as under-rehearsed. You said you should have written a better script but it wasn’t clear what your script was, due to the multiple verbal pauses.
The video came together well, and if you feel like there is room for improvement, here is what has worked for me to increase production on what I’ve worked on.
When I record a presentation or demo for work, on a semi-frequent basis, I personally end up with a better result when I tightly script what I will say. I’ve tried loose bullet points but I end up fumbling my words and need more takes.
If you have the budget for some basic video editing software, most of the vendors offer a free trial so you can see what meets your needs. The videos can really come together better when you can cut multiple shots together, especially for tutorials. I will not recommend any particular software.
Eye contact with the camera really helps connecting with the audience. Keep your script close as possible to the camera, or if you have the budget, there are affordable teleprompter mirrors that work with a smart phone or tablet running free or cheap software.

The camera is a Canon EOS200D. The video was actually edited with Kdenlive – the clip at the end of me quipping about the script was pulled out of about five minutes that I chopped off the beginning. The title screen and crashing sound dropped in were both done via Kdenlive.
I also have lapel-mic recording of the entire thing, but I have to resample it to sync it with the video so I ended up not using it for this go around. The audio used in the clip was taken by the camera mic that I didn’t know it had until I went to watch the footage to see if it was usable. Knowing that would have required reading the manual.
Software used was Kdenlive& Audacity running on Fedora 32. Future software to include Inkscape, FreeCAD, and Blender for any special effects added to the video. LinuxCNC is also going to play a very prominent role.

A fast simple temporary solution would be to build large parking decks that people could park vans, motor homes and trailers in and call them home while better accommodations are built. Now we know that a good number of these people are drug addicts but I bet the number is not as large as they say. By getting these people all in one place would greatly lesson the security concerns. Easy to watch. We also could take the tact that as long as you do not bother others and are not publicly doing anything illegal then you will be left alone.
I read an article on a big public parking lot in California by the beach where the local people living in vans, trailers and motor homes monitoring the place just like this. Even if you used drugs as long as it was not public they left you alone but any aggressive anti-social behavior and the residents would give you rough justice and drive you out. Of course the police ran people off and confiscated their trailers and vans. So instead of having a small community where people could look after each other they have nothing.
There’s a big animus about the homeless but most of them are not evil they’re just homeless. If you work retail or some other min wage job it’s easy to find yourself homeless. Remember the early west had no law at all but if people got too crooked and evil the whole of the town would come together and run off or kill the evil ones. This is better than what we have today because no one ever really does any final solution on the truly evil. This happened many places in the west. Once in San Fransisco a gang started terrorizing the town, demanding “protection” money etc. It wasn’t after a few months of this that the town got together and killed the ring leaders and ran the rest off.

It started as a mess – a cluttered workbench with no room to work or even walk around. Slowly but surely there’s going to be a productive space open up where the focus is on building capability, not maxing out credit cards for new tools, but developing ways to fabricate things, including better tools. Since people are giving technical advice and I’m from that world (my training was originally in radio/film/television) I’ll chime in.
Gotta do something about that backlight. Great videos come from great lighting and great sound. Those panels are giving you fantastic natural light, but you need to reposition your shot (when you clean up, I get the theme of the video) to take advantage of them.
Your audio was good and clean, so shoot for that every time. If I were editing it, I would have put a little compression on your voice to make it pop, but not so much that is sounds like a Mr. Carlson’s Lab video. (If you watch him, you should hear what I mean. It works for him, but it’s hard to get clean audio you can compress that much. He’s really good at audio.)
For the editing, open source is great, but I haven’t found an open source editor that doesn’t end up with me slamming my head against the desk two hours in yet. Davinci Resolve is my go to right now. It runs on Linux and is free as in beer. (They make their money selling control surfaces, which are amazingly good if someone else is paying $2000 to kit the studio out with it.) And if you use it, know that DaVinci as a company started out making THE gear to do color grading of films and telecine (fllm-to-television) for the last 30 years. That SAME tech is in Resolve for free, and if you learn to grade your footage well, even shitty cameras (which yours is not) look good.
Plan to do everything you shoot three times. It’s just the nature of editing video. Projects with multiples of the same step are great because you don’t have to use up more material redoing a step for additional angles. When you can afford multiple cameras, you can set them up and get most of the shots at once (there will sill be some damned thing that you want that blocks all the others and vice-versa.) Spike Lee shot Bamboozled on off-the-shelf video cameras, and would set up more than 15 at once for crucial shots that he wanted to get in one take (specifically the “blacking up” scene.)
Dr. Seuss is too valuable to stakeholders for him to be canceled altogether, so they are sanitizing the collection to keep in line with current PC standards. Not many children are at risk of receiving ‘Mein Kampf’ as a birthday present purchased on Ebay, but it would be possible for a child to receive an ‘offensive’ Dr. Seuss book, and it has probably happened.
