Africa In Midst Of Famine

Not surprising:

More than 5 million Somalians are already on the brink of famine, according to aid agency Plan International, and it expects an official declaration by April…

Last week South Sudan declared a famine in areas of the country’s south, where civil war has displaced thousands of people, disrupted crop planting and led to economic collapse.

Several other countries across eastern Africa face severe food shortages in the weeks and months ahead, if not famine.

More than 20 million people are in urgent need of food in Somalia, South Sudan, Kenya, Nigeria and Ethiopia, according to Plan Australia.

In Yemen, around half a million children suffer from advanced malnutrition, and up to 7 million people need urgent food aid.

K begins in the poorest, least educated areas, and moves like a wave up the social hierarchy toward the first world. As the initial resource shortage first begins, the r-strategists flee, seeking refuge in the least conflict-prone, resource-rich areas. As it progresses, the newly arrived r-strategists will drain resources from their new homelands, speeding the arrival of K there as well.

This is the K-shift, and it has only been held at bay by debt spending. But that same debt-spending savior will eventually make the ultimate K-shift much, much more aggressive, when it finally hits. I would not expect any flavor of multiculturalism to survive what finally comes, and I will be surprised if there is not ultimately retaliation against anyone associated with the left.

Signs Of K – Food Conflicts

This is K-selection starting:

EUROPEAN fishermen are furious over Brexit and have threatened war in the ongoing fish crisis.

It has been revealed 58 per cent of fish caught in British seas are reeled in by non-UK vessels.

Now as Scottish fishermen have called on the UK Government to offer zero concessions to the European Union (EU), French fishermen are entering the debate.

Overseas fishermen worried about their livelihoods are anxious to strike a deal with Britain over its water rights amid the EU’s demands that the UK shares its stocks.

But British fishermen are keen to take back control of the country’s waters amid a rapid depletion of fish…

French fisherman Stéphane Pinto, who has a boat in Boulogne-sur-Mer and operates in the Channel, said: “All the larger boats will be forced to fish in French waters.

“It’ll be a war on the water.”

This almost sounds like something called K-selection, that this site has been writing about for years now, arriving just as we predicted it would. Migration, resource shortage, in-grouping, and conflict, all accompanied by a rise of K-selected psychologies, increase in political conservatism, and rejection of liberalism. Here it is, and nobody is even starving yet.

This is the beginning, but it is nothing compared to what is coming when the economic system goes down. President Trump has bought us valuable time to prepare, but the Apocalypse is still well on its way. As amazing as any one leader may be, it will take much more epigenetic remodeling to really fix the shortcomings in our populations that produce Apocalypse – and that will take an Apocalypse itself.

When Resources Are Free – Jesse Jackson Jr Given $138,000/year In Compensation

Free resource availability:

Records from former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.’s divorce case show how he has been able to collect hefty benefit checks from the federal government after serving time in prison for looting hundreds of thousands of dollars from his campaign fund.

Jackson, 51, receives about $138,400 a year — more than he made as a freshman congressman in 1995. Most of that — about $100,000 — is workers’ compensation and tax-free, according to Chicago attorney Barry Schatz, who is representing Jackson in his divorce proceeding…

Records indicate Jackson is collecting workers’ compensation at the top rate given a person with a temporary total disability.

He claims that being a congressman was so stressful that he acquired Bipolar disorder from it, and thus is now entitled to be paid while he convalesces.

Rabbits think nothing of this, and looking at it, even I have to wonder if the r-strategy isn’t temporarily superior right now. The resources are there, and you obviously can get away with it. From a purely reproductive standpoint, you can see how it would not only survive, but thrive.

On the flip side, you can see how a sudden resource constriction will wipe it from the earth. And a sudden resource constriction is exactly what is coming.

Barbra Steisand Medicates Her Amygdala With Pancakes And Maple Syrup

Liberals are liberals, and they are predictable:

Barbra Streisand says Donald Trump is making her gain weight. The singer tweeted on Saturday that news involving Trump affects her morning routine.

“I start the day with liquids, but after the morning news, I eat pancakes smothered in maple syrup!” the singer tweeted on Saturday.

As you see this in liberals, you begin to see it all over. The amygdala drives most human behavior. Even where people seek pleasure, I think they are modeling future pleasure in their mind, and acting to assuage the amygdala-triggering at the thought of not having that pleasure. Want to spend the weekend with your friends in Bimini? You will go because of the contrary thought of missing Bimini with your friends.

You can see how if you never think of pleasures like fishing in the Bahamas, you can focus on work and be productive, with minimal amygdala activity. But if you become a hedonistic psychology you will think about those things all of the time. You can see how that would begin to produce a depressive psychology if conditions don’t allow the actual hedonism. You’d be afflicted with fairly constant amygdala-stimulation, despite your focus on positive imagery. You can even see how it would arise from constantly being in a pleasurable environment, and the corrupting effects of r.

Of course fairly constant amygdala stimulation will, with enough time, produce amygdala development, and the K-selected reproductive strategy, if allowed to occur. All of these mechanisms are designed to self-balance, adapting the human machine to it’s respective environment.

Casual Sex Is Bad For Mental Health

I see high long form DRD4 carriage:

A new study suggests that poor mental health and casual sex feed off each other in teens and young adults, with each one contributing to the other over time.

Researchers found that teens who showed depressive symptoms were more likely than others to engage in casual sex as young adults. In addition, those who engaged in casual sex were more likely to later seriously consider suicide…

“There’s always been a question about which one is the cause and which is the effect. This study provides evidence that poor mental health can lead to casual sex, but also that casual sex leads to additional declines in mental health.”

Sex is like a drug. Just as some are prone to addiction and some are not, some can handle a casual fling and not become addicted and break down, and some cannot. However, those prone to flings will tend to have the poorly functioning long form D4 dopamine receptors, and thus be prone to growing addicted to the sex, and feeling extreme dopamine deficiency in its absence. Addiction is associated with the long form DRD4 genes, as is sexual promiscuity, infidelity, and leftist predispositioning. It is all r-selection, facilitated by poor transmembrane dopamine signal transduction.

As with any addict, they eventually come to require their chosen dopamine receptor activity-eliciter all of the time, and in its absence they experience the depression and angst which others do not feel.

Note that viewed in the context of the r/K mechanism, that is a feature and not a bug. As these people come to need the dopamine rush of sex to escape their angst, they will become more likely to seek it out aggressively. Those not so conditioned might be content to enjoy a sunset, or simply relax and smell the fresh spring air in the forest on a hike. This will program the brains of those so afflicted to aggressively pursue the r-selected reproductive strategy. This is how the machine is designed to work.

Only r/K Theory can make it all make sense.

Tell everyone about r/K Theory, because only r/K can make everything understandable

What Nobody Is Talking About In The #Obamagate Trump Wiretapping Scandal

Obama could face serious consequences if he wiretapped President Trump:

One important reminder about electronic surveillance. Occasionally, a law enforcement officer will hear or see or record information not allowed by the warrant, but incidental or accidental to otherwise lawful surveillance. Their job is to immediately stop listening, stop recording, and to delete such information…

This bring us to Watergate-on-Steroids, or #ObamaGate. Here are the problematic aspects of the Obama surveillance on Trump’s team, and on Trump himself. First, it is not apparent FISA could ever be invoked. Second, it is possible Obama’s team may have perjured themselves before the FISA court by withholding material information essential to the FISA court’s willingness to permit the government surveillance. Third, it could be that Obama’s team illegally disseminated and disclosed FISA information in direct violation of the statute precisely prohibiting such dissemination and disclosure. FISA prohibits, under criminal penalty, Obama’s team from doing any of the three.

At the outset, the NSA should have never been involved in a domestic US election…

Out of 35,000+ requests for surveillance, the FISA court has only ever rejected a whopping 12. Apparently, according to published reports, you can add one more to that — even the FISA court first rejected Obama’s request to spy on Trump’s team under the guise of an investigation into foreign agents of a pending war attack…

This raises the second problem: Obama’s team submission of an affidavit to to the FISA court. An application for a warrant of any kind requires an affidavit, and that affidavit may not omit material factors…

Since Trump was the obvious target, the alleged failure to disclose his name in the second application could be a serious and severe violation of the obligation to disclose all material facts. Lastly, given the later behavior, it is evident any promise in the affidavit to protect the surveilled information from ever being sourced or disseminated was a false promise, intended to induce the illicit surveillance. This is criminalized both by federal perjury statutes, conspiracy statutes, and the FISA criminal laws themselves…

Do liberals understand what Pandora’s Box Obama opened up by Obama using the powers of the NSA, CIA and FBI to spy on his political opponents? Even Nixon never did that…

… by definition, FISA information is strictly confidential or it’s information that never should have been gathered. FISA strictly segregates its surveilled information into two categories: highly confidential information of the most serious of crimes involving foreign acts of war; or, if not that, then information that should never have been gathered, should be immediately deleted, and never sourced nor disseminated. It cannot be both.

Recognizing this information did not fit FISA meant having to delete it and destroy it. According to published reports, Obama’s team did the opposite: order it preserved, ordered the NSA to search it, keep it, and share it; and then Obama’s Attorney General issued an order to allow broader sharing of information and, according to the New York Times, Obama aides acted to label the Trump information at a lower level of classification for massive-level sharing of the information…

Democrats may regret Sessions’ recusal, as his replacement is a mini-Sessions: a long-respected, a-political, highly ethical prosecutor, Dana Boente, whose reputation is well-warranted from his service at the Tax Division, and who won’t be limited by any perceived ties to Trump, given his prior appointment by Obama. Obama himself appeared scared of Boente, as he removed Boente from the successor-to-Sessions position during the lame-duck part of Obama’s presidency, but Trump restored Boente to that role earlier this month. Democrats may get the investigation they wanted, but it may be their own that end up named in the indictment.

It almost seems as if Trump engineered Session’s recusal, specifically to further weaponize this investigation. Now there will be no claiming it is partisan, if it moves forward.

It is interesting, looking back, to see what a good idea FISA would have seemed like, especially after 9/11. I have to admit, I would have been 100% for it back then, sadly. A special court, that could fast-track surveillance in the event of an imminent attack. All sorts of safeguards, so it couldn’t just be used willy nilly, and would just be a tool of last resort.

And like clockwork it was turned into a tool for the leftist administration spy on the conservative candidate for President to try and take him down.

Interestingly, now it comes out that Sessions was bugged, even when he was just a Republican Senator:

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said in an interview on “Justice with Judge Jeanine” Saturday that the Obama administration listened in on conversations between then-Sen. Jeff Sessions and Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

“What we have seen from the previous administration is they did spend time listening to conversations between then Senator Jeff Sessions and the ambassador to Russia while he was in his U.S. Senate office,” Lewandowski told Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro. “If that were to take place – which supposedly did take place – what other conversations are they listening in on.”

Note that this site has been saying this type of activity was going on widely for some time now. And these are the relatively establishment conservatives who are being bugged and wiretapped. If you are alt-right, or three precenter, or Redditor, or on Voat, or online and have an opinion, or even just have a Pepe background on your computer, it is entirely possible there is a transcript of your life for the last eight years in a file somewhere. Keep in mind that somebody may always be watching.

But to me, the investigation into the wiretapping of Trump and his team, and even the broader right, will be a lesser issue based on practicalities of the media terrain and how publicity drives the narrative.

The media would actually not care about Trump, or sessions, or us being wiretapped. The them, Trump is a dangerous conservative, and should have had the full force of the government opposing him. Trump can obviously move this issue himself, as he has moved his entire campaign, but how much faster it would move with the media’s assistance.

Now, even without the media, this investigative train is beginning to leave the station and pick up steam. I have no idea where it goes, but things like this can quickly get out of control, and begin to choose their own path. We have no idea who in Congress has a bone to pick with any of the involved agencies, or what may come up unexpectedly in the course of investigations. A small investigation of a minor land deal by the Clintons decades back morphed into Monica Lewinsky and Impeachment – and it would have produced a removal had Clinton not effectively stalled it for so long. Where does an investigation bigger than Watergate, involving the President of the United States wiretapping political opposition using the intelligence infrastructure go?

You know that the Trump administration, being as brilliant as it is, has to have foreseen this possibility, and they do appear to be letting things move in the direction of investigation regardless. So where might it go that could be even worse for Obama?

That is what nobody is talking about, and it is what might become the most important facet of this investigation. What if it wasn’t just Trump’s people under coverage? We know that the Obama administration had at least two high-profile documented cases of what appear to have been illegal spying on reporters in the media. In one, Fox’s James Rosen had the national security and Law Enforcement apparatus turned on him:

The Justice Department spied extensively on Fox News reporter James Rosen in 2010, collecting his telephone records, tracking his movements in and out of the State Department and seizing two days of Rosen’s personal emails, the Washington Post reported on Monday.

In a chilling move sure to rile defenders of civil liberties, an FBI agent also accused Rosen of breaking anti-espionage law with behavior that—as described in the agent’s own affidavit—falls well inside the bounds of traditional news reporting.

And then there was the case of Sharyll Atkisson, who appears to have not only have been spied upon, but who had classified documents planted on her computer, so she could be imprisoned for her reporting. Her case is presently the subject of a lawsuit against the government:

Former CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson has sued the Justice Department over the hacking of her computers, officially accusing the Obama administration of illegal surveillance while she was reporting on administration scandals.

In a series of legal filings that seek $35 million in damages, Attkisson alleges that three separate computer forensic exams showed that hackers used sophisticated methods to surreptitiously monitor her work between 2011 and 2013.

“I just think it’s important to send a message that people shouldn’t be victimized and throw up their hands and think there’s nothing they can do and they’re powerless,” Attkisson said in an interview.

The media may not care about Trump, but as the investigation progresses, it is difficult to see how it will navigate away from these cases. And as it moves through those cases, other cases may come to light, exposing a much broader spying operation targeting the political enemies of the Obama administration, as well as the more general media infrastructure. That could pull the mainstream media on board with Trump. And when the further cases we have not heard of, but which could be even worse come to light, then things could really pick up.

For example, was Michael Hastings under some form of surveillance? If so, and it was denied by the government at the time, suddenly his death begins to look incredibly interesting. Did his surveillance team document an approach of other individuals into his bubble? Did it identify someone who tampered with his car? Did it receive an order to back off people around him and let them slip away? Who issued the orders? What video of his coverage, around the time he was killed, exists?

You see how this could spiral out of control, and quickly. Either the Trump administration has just procured the mother of all blackmail chips to cash in later, or his administration will let this play out freely and possibly see an epic rollback of the security state.

And I am not even sure anybody, President Trump included, can control which this turns into at this point.

One thing K-shifts are not, is boring.

Politics-Related Depression

You know it is real because so many practitioners are seeing it, and each is giving it a different name:

The nation’s politically liberal coasts have seen a months-long outbreak of depression. Here in the San Francisco Bay area, among patients, neighbors, friends, and colleagues, there is palpable gloom. They cite as the reason “the news.” Ever since the election, people have been unable to pull themselves away from our ongoing political soap opera.

“Election depression” has turned into the more chronic “political depression.” In an interview, several psychologists characterized this mood disorder as being commonly marked by nightmares, insomnia, digestive problems, and headaches, with anxiety, jitteriness, chest tightness, and “a hallucinatory sense of slow-motion doom” also possible. Sufferers may describe feeling demoralized and powerless, and even a sense of unreality. People have been missing work and school. They have seen relationships impaired and a decline in daily functioning (these are particular red flags for therapists). One woman even described an inability to put her children to sleep on time due to difficulty tearing herself away from the news.

Although many of these symptoms do overlap with internationally recognized psychiatric mood and anxiety disorders, medicalizing our emotions in relation to a particularly intense political atmosphere may be a slippery slope.

For one thing, genuine depressive disorders and generalized anxiety disorder require therapy; medication and psychotherapy are both standard treatments… Instead, for a start we’d recommend a therapeutic trial of comfort food, something along the lines of roast turkey, dressing, and mashed potatoes (with extra gravy), or maybe a half-pint of a favorite ice cream…

… speaking of dystopian fiction, pharmacotherapy reminds us of Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, in which the greater good for society was achieved by minimizing and subduing negative emotions or feelings. In order to accomplish this, whenever individuals became unhappy, they took a gram of soma, a narcotic that transported them into a state of unfeeling unconsciousness. The catchphrase was “A gramme is better than a damn.”

Notice that the guy writing the article advocates for boluses of comfort food, ie dopamine, for people who are depressed due to what really amounts to dopamine addiction. Flooding a depressed person with dopamine will not fix the depression. It is like telling a heroin addict that what they need to do is start taking hits until they feel better. But nobody at NR understands the mechanism, so that is what they advocate. Of course then, a couple of paragraphs down, they advocate against the exact same thing when they criticize Soma, which was really a perfect descriptor of a dopamine agonist. One minute they recommend it, the next they criticize it. Obviously, nobody who understands the mechanisms behind politics is going to start thinking National Review knows what it is talking about any time soon.

This election depression is amygdala-stimulation, heightened by dopamine deficiency. It produces a subtle cognitive force, driving the afflicted person toward a mode of brain function that relieves the angst. That is a designed mechanism.

In an r-selected environment, the angst is relieved by suppressing K-strategists, and denying all possibility of competition, aggression, and resource constriction, while pursuing sex. The liberal’s reality-blind perception of the world, where we import foreigners and give them what they want, disarm everyone, and ostracize into silence anyone who acts K or advocates for the K-strategy, is actually a valid means of shutting amygdala stimulation off. If you can insist on forcing everyone to adhere to that fantasy, it will let you walk around in a little bubble of amygdala-relaxation.

The problem arises when environmental realities will not allow that bubble to exist any longer. When shortage produces aggression and competitiveness that cannot be suppressed by public shaming and ostracizing, then you get a brain that initially will try to continue using its r-selected programming to achieve amygdala-relaxation. As that fails, the brain will produce pain, which is the first step in reprogramming.

This will play subconsciously. Liberals pursue leftist thought, and they feel pain. They may not do the math and see 2+2=4, but the brain knows subconsciously, and eventually thinking liberal thoughts is associated with the pain. That is where openness to the right will begin. Thinking rightist thought and identifying as a conservative will offer relief. Soon, many who now think left will be guided to think right, and they will not even know why. They will just begin to think like us, and then experience the joy and pleasure we enjoy now as Trump racks up win after win.

Never assume that because you are logical, everyone else’s thoughts are guided by logic. Obviously, given that roughly 25% of the population adheres to leftist ideals, many people are guided by the avoidance of cognitive angst, more than logic or reason. You can only understand them through amygdala.

Mt Etna Is Not The Only Volcano In Italy That Threatens

This one is a supervolcano:

A long-quiet yet huge supervolcano that lies under 500,000 people in Italy may be waking up and approaching a “critical state,” scientists report this week in the journal Nature Communications.

Based on physical measurements and computer modeling, “we propose that magma could be approaching the CDP [critical degassing pressure] at Campi Flegrei, a volcano in the metropolitan area of Naples, one of the most densely inhabited areas in the world, and where accelerating deformation and heating are currently being observed,” wrote the scientists—who are led by Giovanni Chiodini of the Italian National Institute of Geophysics in Rome.

A sudden release of hot magmatic gasses is possible in the near future, which could trigger a large eruption, the scientists warn. Yet the timing of any possible eruption is unknown and is currently not possible to predict.

In response to the news, Italy’s government has raised the volcano’s threat level from green to yellow, or from quiet to requires scientific monitoring. In other words, the government is urging a measured response to the study, followed by additional scientific work

I’m sure all the Muslim refugees will selflessly join with all of Europe to help rebuild Western Civilization. Obviously they would not all just flee to family back in their home nations, or look for free resources somewhere else and just leave Europe in ruins.

It is tempting to look at the myriad of cataclysmic economic situations, and assume one of the weak points there will be where the Apocalypse begins. But there are other means, from pandemic to natural disaster, all of which could kick off a nice Apocalypse.

There is a strange synchronicity to apocalypses. Economic collapses, climate collapses, natural/geological disasters, pandemics, wars, and other calamities all seem to coalesce together. I suspect there is something in human nature as societies go r, that uses all of our powers of intellect and manipulation for forestalling apocalypses, by sacrificing future advantage for temporary gain. Given our intellectual abilities, this allows the apocalypses to be forestalled almost in perpetuity, until a natural geological disaster occurs and forces it, bringing down everything that was artificially propped up, all at once.

And there does appear to be something geological going on, as Big Wobble points out:

Add in solar cycles heading toward a cooling cycle, which is probably related to all of it, and it would seem that the plentiful weak points in the economy are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to ways for everything to come down catastrophically.

That Apocalypse is coming. It is only a question of when.

Trump Urged To Purge Obama Appointees

President Trump is a genius, but why this hasn’t been done yet is puzzling:

Advisers to President Donald Trump are urging him to purge the government of former President Barack Obama’s political appointees and quickly install more people who are loyal to him.

A number of his advisers believe Obama officials are behind the leaks and are seeking to undermine his presidency, with just the latest example coming from reports that Attorney General Jeff Sessions met twice last year with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. and apparently misled senators about the interactions during his confirmation hearing.

That was coupled with a New York Times story that Obama appointees spread information about the investigation into the Trump campaign’s contacts with Russia in an attempt to create a paper trail about the probe. Trump’s aides have also blamed Obama appointees for other damaging leaks, like Trump’s erratic phone calls with foreign leaders.

Leftists are mentally insane, wholly immoral, backstabbing cowards. It is wholly impossible for them to do anything but try to sabotage the government under President Trump, and thwart his efforts at every turn.

I am not sure President Trump has fully grasped the evil of the left. Being unusually smart and not historically ideological, he may disregard the left’s opposition to him as simply yet one more case of innocent people not seeing things that he sees clearly due to his intellect.

Hopefully he will realize the evil of the left soon, and appoint an Obama-ite purging czar. It is the only way.

Donald Trump Was Wiretapped At Trump Tower

Just out today:

Trump was under coverage for a long time before the victory. I would assume it began even before Trump himself decided to run, given his past feigns at running. What I assume happened was, as the election approached it became clear Trump wasn’t going to flame out spectacularly. The people doing the watching realized he could very well be the next President, and discover a ton of illegal surveillance directed at him.

So as the election approached, the people in charge of surveillance looked for a reason to be doing the surveillance Obama ordered. Then they sought an official FISA court order for the wiretaps, or some other official approval for being there. In-person, infiltration, and externally installed tech is more difficult to prove and less able to be prosecuted, so they may not have sought official authorization for that. These warrants were all just evidence of ass-covering, more than the full scope of the operations targeting Trump’s team, or evidence of when it began.

Here is the creepy part. Surveillance will almost never identify a threat big enough to move the machine, and then just roll out one small tool like a wiretap to target it. If a threat big enough for a wiretap is identified, the entire machine is rolled out. If Trump’s lines were being listened to and recorded, then there was other tech and people assigned to do everything from foot surveillance, to vehicle surveillance, to observation posts with views of his windows and telephoto lenses, to through-wall imagry technology, to installing tech in his vehicles, to infiltration, to a central command to coordinate it all.

My guess is there was an employee or two at Mara Lago watching and reporting in to see if The Donald was having any affairs, and there were employees in Trump Tower reporting all the scuttlebutt about the boss there too. Nobody who called for service at the Donald’s properties got just a service person – they got a TIPS program approved civilian informant, who attended a pre-service-call briefing with instructions and necessary tech supplied, and then had a post-service-call debrief. And on and on. If Donald knew about it, it would have been irritating, though I am sure his security would be a formidable countermeasure.

I don’t know if this is a sign Trump is going to take on the surveillance state. I would doubt it. But I do know it is reported that Obama intends to seek Trump’s impeachment and removal, and he has brought Valerie Jarrett on board to make it happen. Impeachment and removal is a huge goal to have. I have always suspected the Obama-team knows the full extent of the surveillance state, and intended to expose it and blame Donald for it two or three years into his Presidency. The message would immediately become, “Look America, at how this fascist control-freak has people watching all of you! We told you he was a fascist!” It would be hard to see Trump not being impeached and removed by a united team of the suddenly-aghast Cucks and leftists in Congress if they rolled that out.

Notice how with just one Tweet, Donald has mobilized the entire media to push the meme that Donald is the victim of that very system, and Obama is the one who set it up and was abusing it. If it comes out now, it will be The Donald and The People as victims, against Obama, who was a surveillance-state obsessed version of McCarthy (trigger word!) who was spying on everyone, including President Donald J Trump himself.

Talk about 3D chess. You wonder why I love this President?
