I thought this was interesting when I saw it, because the glassy eye’d aspect is varied between sides:
When I look at this face, that left eye triggers my amygdala to an unbelievable degree. It is almost all I see initially, like a bright red laser beam blasting out of the face at me, threatening to cut me in half. If I could talk to the younger, even dumber me, who never saw any of this, I would tell him first to develop the ability to notice that vacant, glassy eye’d eye in particular, and to immediately feel uncomfortable when I saw it.
The right side appears just as a harmless, nice guy. If I had to rate the glassy eye’d quality, I would put it at 15%. It is still there, but it is very vague. But on the left, there is that glassy eye’d look of someone who spends their time under considerable amygdala, and it is just being relieved for a moment. There, the glassy eye’d aspect is probably about 90-95%. When I see the glassy aspect, I see relief, more than true joy.
You will see that in Narcissists who have just had their ego fed, and in much worse cases, such as where the truly damaged have just found relief in the terror of their victims. I could see a pedophile having that look in his eyes as he watches a kidnapped victim wake up from a drugging, and become terrified on realizing that they are bond and helpless, and he is about to torture and kill them.
Notice here, Speilberg is trying to conceal it, by making his right eye look less glassy eye’d, and more harmlessly ebullient. Deep down, maybe on a subconscious level, he seemingly knows where that vacant, glassy eye comes from, and he knows he should try to mask it with a more harmless appearance.
Now as an exercise, make the faces yourself in a mirror, and try to feel what it is like inside when that face is on the outside. Get that vacant, distracted glassy eye in both eyes as you inhale deeply with evil anticipation. Picture yourself a predator, making that face and inhaling down at the 19 year old girl you just kidnapped, just as she wakes up bound and terrified in your soundproofed kill room, knowing you are going to kill her. I can almost feel Speilberg’s left face expression inhaling deeply with anticipation at the horrors he was about to inflict as his victim recoils. I do not feel like inhaling like that when I visualize the right face. The right face just looks more static.
Now make the more harmless, ebullient eye of the right face, and imagine you were attending the opening of the new playground you paid for at the local orphanage, and you are seeing the little kids all have fun climbing over the monkey bars, sliding down the slide, and swinging on the swing set. Those are two vastly different people, even as the two sides of the face appear similar when displayed together.
If you want to try for God-tier understanding, you can try to create the twoface, with the glassy eye on the left, and the ebullient smiley eye on the right. Imagine trying to create that smiley, harmless right eye, while that left eye is your natural instinct underneath.
It is important to note, the two face aspect will vary. There will be times when ambient mood and externally desired appearance will coincide, and you will have very little twoface. There will be other times when internal mood and externally desired appearance will diverge, and it will become more apparent. It may even vary with an ability to focus on the external appearance, and thus vary with how capable the mind is at deceiving, and how distracted it is with other problems. Put enough problems distracting someone, and they may be less able to focus brainpower on deceiving.
But it will emerge quite strongly sometimes, and give a little window into the aspects of a person that an individual may want to hide, as well as how much and how often they are trying to deceive those around them.
Those in who it happens most pronouncedly and most often will probably have conditioned their facial muscles differently, producing strong emotional expression on one side, and weaker on the other.
Whenever I see that, I watch out.

The script for Raiders of the Lost Ark was written/edited by George Lucas, Larry Kasdan and Speilberg. Kasdan is also responsible for the recent Solo movie, which was an abortion. These guys have been SJW conspirators for a while now and have also slowly rotted American cinema. We should also ask the question- did Speilberg add stuff to writers scripts (the pedo reference in Raiders, the pedo stuff in The Color Purple, and some stuff in Schindler’s list) that had a sadistic bent? and did he do this so that the scripts would be approved for production? Was this to take the U.S. in a gradually more leftist/SJW direction over time?

I’m sorry, it is from Speilberg’s perspective. The fundamental idea behind this is, that a person’s facial expression is similar to their hand usage from a neurological perspective. Right handed people will be stronger and more dexterous on their right side, so if they try to do something with both hands, the right side will do it harder and more effectively. Likewise, because the brain is wired that way, if they feel one way, but try to make an expression that hides that feeling, the consciously formed expression will be more powerful on the right side, and less so on the left, which will look more like the underlying, real mental mood – all assuming the person is right handed, which most are. In previous editions, we have shown a couple of left handed people in whom the underlying, less positive emotional state was present on the right side, and the left was more a conscious presentation of a happier, more harmless expression.
I suspect we will run into people who break that rule, just like handedness and eye dominance may not always be related, perhaps due to training (a lefty who learns to shoot righty with both eyes open should develop increased eye dominance with his right eye, and a left handed person might learn to do something righty, and end up better at it righty than lefty, while still being lefty in handwriting). But I think you often do see a person with two expressions – one which portrays them in a positive light, and one which does not as much.
In fairness, I have done the same thing. In an ID photo I sat for, I was struck how when they said smile, I smiled a laid back smile with one side of my face, while the other was completely blank, even bored looking. One was how I was feeling, the other was how I was told to appear I was feeling.
So nothing is absolute, but we are looking at ways to play the system as well as possible as often as possible to seize a slight advantage as often as possible.

I don’t get “glassy” when I take a look at either eye. They look more “intense”, “focused” or “vivid” to me. At least the right-most picture does.

Maybe it may make better sense to describe it as empty, or vacant. When I see it, I see an unengaged amygdala. It might be relief, it might be scheming that is distracting it from whatever is in front of it, maybe he is lost in thought while trying to look engaged, but the normal engagement is not going on behind that eye. In the double left side, it could almost be two glass eyes on a wax figure. In the right side, he is trying to mask it with a squint, but if you look it is still there a little bit.
neither side looks healthy. The right side looks sad, hurt, but trying to cover it up. The left side looks manic, over focused, as if he is in over his head and trying to pretend he isn’t. I even get a feeling of horror.
I don’t know what is going on in that mans’ life, but it doesn’t seem like things are good.
