The U.N. issued an “early warning” Wednesday for the United States, urging that the government take immediate action to confront white supremacy following the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.
But the warning and call for the U.S. government to act contained a little-noticed last paragraph, urging the U.S. to make sure that the “rights to freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly” are not exercised to deny rights or freedom to others and pressing the U.S. government to “ensure that such rights are not misused to promote racist hate speech and racist crimes.”
This works in r-selection, because just the threat of conflict around any group is enough to drive everyone else away from it. Everyone thinks in terms of avoiding that amygdala stimulation involved in conflict. So when the left makes demands to out-group a group, people get in line and do it.
But when things turn K, a subtle amygdala angst enters the picture, which wants a release by venting on others. Then, conflict attracts, and the more aggressive side is the one which attracts the most.
You also don’t see this type of concern by leftists during periods of r. When resources are free and everyone wants conflicts suppressed, the left could care less about racists marching and speaking freely. They would not even pay attention to it, because everyone would flee it anyway.
Now, as resource limitation is beginning to trigger racial in-grouping, these leftists see it and know what is underlying it – the advance of K-selection that will ultimately destroy the left in every way, from social issues to economic policy.
