I would imagine if a large noise could send her into a mini-seizure, it is possible that as she is seizing, she is urinating too. Incontinence is known to sometimes occur with seizures. With a catheter, she can keep herself empty, which probably diminishes the likelihood of getting startled, and suddenly having a puddle around her feet.
At this rate, by the time the election comes around she will be some sort of weird amalgam of Stephen Hawking and a terminator cyborg – and still she will not be Apocalypse ready.

Most, if not all of her symptoms (including incontinence) can be attributed to Neurosyphilis. Eye, tongue, balance, photo seizures, falls, coughing etc. Her Drs should have eliminated this thru a microscopic of her first spinal tap. Tabes Dorsalis is treatable but left untreated can be fatal.
