God selects our leaders. Of course, sometimes he selects them to chastise us, and then to judge us.
A people get the leaders they deserve. A degenerate people get a degenerate President. I pray to God we have learned our lessons and don’t “deserve” Hillary Clinton, or any other of such legion; but who can say?
“God looks after fools, drunks, children, and the United States of America.” Even if Bismark didn’t actually say this, there is still many a true word that is spoken in jest. Throughout American history, just when things seem darkest, the right men arise to lead us through the danger: The Founding Fathers. The great generals and admirals of WW2. Uncle Ronnie during the Cold War. Now we are facing an existential point of no return and it seems as if, once again, the cavalry is on the way.
Personally, I believe God is more involved than most could ever believe.
