Nigerian migrant gangs are collaborating with the Sicilian Mafia in the organisation of prostitution rackets and the heroin trade, according to Italian police sources. An investigative report by The Times reveals that machete-wielding gangsters calling themselves ‘the Vikings’ have now taken the lead in trafficking of around 8,000 prostitutes a year into Palermo, a port city which has become one of the major landing grounds for hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants.
Crime tends to be r-selected, because it is the easy seizure of resources using rule-breaking. A disciplined Army officer is not going to come home from a war, and immediately set about extorting money from local businesses, because even if he is bigger, stronger, and more dangerous than most, it will go against that K-selected perception of fair play.
There is a tendency to say the Mafia is K-selected, because they have organizational loyalty, and a willingness to knock heads. It is possible that in some areas young K-strategists can even be lured in by the stories of adventure and loyalty. But I remember hearing somewhere that in the Mafia today, more Mafioso are informing to the Feds to protect themselves should the axe come down, than are not. And like all organizations, it is the rabbits who rise to the top, so I find it no surprise the Mafia are colluding with the migrant invaders against greater Italy, in the cause of prostituting young women.
Sadly when the Apocalypse comes, the initial groups that will exert control will be these types of gangs, at least until the K-strategists begin to adapt to a world where breaking the rules and laws is normal, because there are no rules or laws anymore.
Until society breaks down in toto, crime will tend to be an r-strategist endeavor.

“There is harmony [between the Nigerians and Sicilians]”. Not for much longer, lol. As soon as the Nigerians reach a critical mass or stop getting fed their “food” violenza razziale will break out. That’s no more harmony than a black bear getting into my trash can in the middle of the night. If the trash is empty he’ll be on my porch trying to get in the door. Stupid Mafia, they’d probably pimp their own daughters, if it made a buck.
This is a helpful piece to further drive home the fact that some really tough looking, aggressive and atavistic people can be r-types and that most dirtbags are. It is so easy to see the skinny SJW snowflake and neglect the violent nature inside of them. Never forget that the individuals will form violence groups that are serious hazards regardless of their individual lack of physicality. Most large bullies are also r-types. I spent a lot of time around these types and what is really amazing is that if you ever best one in unprovoked self-defense, they are more than happy to use any system to bring trouble upon you for resisting them. Hence your point about them being willing to turn into informants when the power shifts. Bring it on; time for us k’s to go hunting.
Are these prostitutes Africans? If so, no point. Med girls are way hotter. Mafia would have to GIVE them away before any wolf man would gi there.
It seems to me that what we’ve seen is a shift in the mob from being relatively K to being quite r now, as with the overall population. Yes, organized crime is fundamentally r, but in the old times the gangsters were much more K in nature: strong in-group loyalty, principled (in alignment with their own principles, of course, like the taboo of selling drugs), etc.
The breaking of the norm of not selling drugs may have been the first indicator of the shift. Then you saw more and more of them becoming informants. And who knows what kind of behavior is going on now; I don’t pay attention much. But I’d sure bet that if you compare a current mafia Don to Al Capone that you’d see a radical r vs. K demonstration.

Could be. It is possible the shift to drugs was itself a product of the r-ification that followed the post-war period. They did seem to me more in-grouped and loyal to the group in the past. I don’t know if you can measure violence, because things are way different today, if government focuses on you. I suspect in the fifties I could have done illegal acts and gotten away with it. I am much more dubious of that today, though I have no idea how extensively that control applies.
The true difference between r/k selected individuals is not that r’s don’t fight but that they fight dirty, they will use any way possible to destroy you without getting their hands dirty and are 10x more viscous than when fighting a K, a K only want to show who’s better an R wants to eradicate the very memory of you.
The r’s want free resources, so they play to win with the least risk possible, which means fighting dirty and hitting people when they aren’t looking.
