Olympics Emphasize Diversity, Fail Miserably

First there was this:

The U.S. Olympic Committee says it’s taking its most diverse team ever to a Winter Games, an impressive and deserved boast that requires a caveat of sorts.

Yes, USOC officials are pleased the team includes more African Americans and Asian Americans — and even the first two openly gay men — than recent winter squads. But they also realize this year’s U.S. Olympic team, not unlike those of most other nations gathering in PyeongChang this week, is still overwhelmingly white.

“We’re not quite where we want to be,” said Jason Thompson, the USOC’s director of diversity and inclusion. “.?.?. I think full-on inclusion has always been a priority of Team USA. I think everybody’s always felt it should represent every American.”

So how did they do?

It was a sweeping goal, spelled out on a colorful, full-screen slide and presented to leaders of the U.S. Olympic Committee in a meeting last year.

Sports executives in America targeted athletes on Team USA to win 37 medals at the Pyeongchang Games.

Heading into the final 48 hours of action, the United States had 21. Even if things were to go well over the handful of remaining events, the team will fall more than 10 medals short of the goal.

Skating was a total shit show:

Friday’s free skating event at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games is said to be the worst showing in modern Olympic history.

Mirai Nagasu failed to do a triple axel after successully landing the risky move during the team event earlier in the week.

Bradie Tennell also struggled Friday finishing in ninth place after falling during her routine.

Karen Chen finished in eleventh place after she also fell during Friday’s free skating event.

Skiing is all fucked up:

A Team USA ski coach admits there is a medal crisis after the athletes only took home three Olympic medals, five fewer from the last Winter Games.

Alpine director Patrick Riml said he knows there is work to be done after the country produced its fewest golds in the sport since 2002 and fewest medals since 2006.

Skiers Mikaela Shiffrin and Lindsey Vonn were the only Team USA alpine racers to finish with medals for the country, taking home a one gold, silver and bronze together.

In a telephone interview Saturday, Riml called his men’s team’s Olympic performance ‘disappointing’ and acknowledged that ‘we definitely have to rebuild’ before the 2022 Beijing Games.

And in the one metric of success that actually matters:

… the victory, witnessed by a crowd-pleasing First Daughter Ivanka Trump and others from the US delegation there for Sunday’s Closing Ceremony, did nothing to help NBC primetime ratings bottom line. And bottom is the operative word today as Olympics fatigue has definitely set-in for the final stretch of the 2018 international competition for the Comcast-owned outlet.

For the last Friday of the often-struggling PyeongChang Games, NBC and NBCSN’s combined primetime coverage grabbed a 9.2/16 in metered market results.

That is an all-time low for an Olympics that is on track to be the lowest ever.

You can see how r-strategists, obsessed with virtue signaling as a conflict avoidance strategy, are just not designed for a K-selected state of nature. Everywhere they allow their psychology to affect their actions and strategy, they produce failures, and it is only increasing.

And yet, when times are r and the name of the game is appeasing everyone and avoiding conflict, they are perfectly designed.

But once things turn K, the freakshow that is modern leftist SJWism will be rejected from any group with a lick of common sense, because groups with common sense will be the only groups that survive.

And just like that, we will begin winning Olympics again.

Spread r/K Theory, because we want to start winning again

They’re going to have to come up with a lot more undetectable steroids if they are going to make black corporate heroes dominate cold climate sports.

Competition is considered oppressive to postmodernism, so like toddlers, cooperation is more important, which is proper, for TODDLERS.

I’m surprised you haven’t mentioned Dr.Jordan Peterson and the scandals happening in Canada over speech codes and parallel legal systems to enforce “social justice.”

There is a lot of overlap with his research and your applied r/K theory to biology, pyschiatry, politics, and sociology. Although in a nutshell, it’s paternalism vs. maternalism. In the SJW case, it is natalism, or extreme and damaging maternalism, the oedipal mother. His prescription is more cooperative though, that dialogue and personal responsibility can save use from the mass murders of the past 100 years, all in the guise of equality.

As a Norwegian with hardly any interest in OL – its hard to miss the frenzy around me – and I choose to enjoy the happiness of friends and family enjoying the circus – including being proud to be Norwegian. Good, I feel happy for them.

Many of them have commented that the US – 60 times the population of Norway (US 23 medals – Norway 38) – have got many of their medals in the smal branches of OL competition. Not in the most popular and hard/core Winter-Sports events/competitions/branches? as Skiing in general (Skiing and shooting), Long-ski jump, skating and more. (Sorry for my English).

Throughout Europe, the cradle of winter-sports, the young (potheads) running the snowboard and freestyle circus – while hip-hop and other “coool” music are played – together with commercials/posters/more – where Red Bull and other poisoned drinks for kids are endlessly exposed: its a smal sport. The smallest of all: Luge and Bobsleigh.

Snowboard and Freestyle are impressing but very tiny sports wise. Further winter-sport and Wakanda peoples hip-hop music about banging those hoos and twerking that ass – nooope – it do not fair well among the huge winter-sport loving public.

Take away these USA tiny sports achievements I mentiod here from the OL – and its not much to be proud about for US. The degeneration and rabbitery and r-selcting in the US have been exposed in this OL.
